This wait for a tour or a new album is getting redonkulous. I know OBH is a big deal, but there are many of us who cannot go. I love MMJ, but it feels like their a girlfriend who has broken up with me, but they just haven't told me yet.

Although we're doing OBH, I do feel your pain. I don't get it, throw your fans a bone or two and play a few shows! Seems to be their style though when they have a new album in the works.  When they do finally release the album and play some shows, I imagine the fans will have an experience similar to this...

I just don't get it either.  I mean, they are one of the best live acts going today.  They used to tour their asses off back in the day which went a long way in giving them the reputation for being one of the best live bands going.  Yet, they seem to be touring less and less as time goes by?!  I just don't get it at all?!  Hell, Wilco just ended their longest hiatus without playing together live at a whopping TEN months!!!  Maybe the boys could take a page from Wilco and throw their fans a freaking bone! 

I'm usually not one to be critical, but it just sucks when the only chance one can have to see this band live over the last 2 years is to drop several thousand dollars to see them in Mexico???  Not exactly what I would consider being fan accessible...

gotta disagree.  let them enjoy time with family and friends.  let them enjoy the fruits of all the work they've done over the years.  let them rest, relax, and recharge.  and record.

while I would love to have some news and some tour dates on the horizon, I want the band to take all the time they need to make the record they want.  I get the points about them touring their asses of and earning a rep as one of the best live bands in America.  But, maybe they want to be known for making a hugely impacting record that vaults them past "great live band" to Best American Band.
