The Ryan Adams Live at Carnegie Hall set is fantastic.  Part acoustic set, part comedy.
Don't you ever turn it off

Don't feel like listing everything now, but since i haven't seen it listed here yet I just want to mention that the new JD McPherson is pretty awesome.
That's motherfuckin' John Oates!

This album hasn't even officially come out yet, but it's definitely one of my favorite this year.  I can't wait to see these guys.  If anyone saw their performance on Fallon a few weeks back, they know what im talking about

A lot of good ones so far with Foals (August) and Kurt Vile (September) on my radar for upcoming releases.  And Puscifer's new one coming in October, which I'm hopeful will be great. But their previous stuff is so inconsistent...... some songs fantastic and a few unlistenable.

LBSUNFLWR

loving the new Kurt Vile!

Looking forward to the new Kurt Vile as well!  Also, Futurebirds are dropping a new one 9/25 and I can't wait for that!

I guess you got the leak. I'm looking forward checking it out.  Pretty Pimpin is a great tune (which is on Spotify and I assume elsewhere).

Amazing:
MMJ - Waterfall
Tame Impala - Currents
Foals - What Went Down

Very Good:
Sleater Kinney - No Cities
Modest Mouse - Strangers

Good but not as great as I had hoped for:
Lord Huron - Strange Trails
Jose Gonzalez - Vestiges

dmooney99

will add:

Ghost- Meliora
Foals- What Went Down

Okay. Everyone start with their year ends... I feel like I'm behind this year.

Futurebirds - Hotel Parties

Come Closer

Car Seat Headrest- Teens of Style
Father John Misty- I Love You, Honeybear

Paul Orwell- Blowing Your Mind Away
Attic Fowler- City Hall
The Butterscotch Cathedral- s/t
Israel Nash- Silver Season
Ultimate Painting- Green Lanes
Swim Deep- Mothers

This will definitely change. More I need to digest, there are albums from earlier in the year to get back to, and a few more coming out before year end.

don't rock bottom, just listen just slow down...

I agree about Ryan Adams' version of 1989.  I've gotten to know Taylor Swift's music because of my wife, and I think she writes very good songs.  I'm just not a fan of the pop music stylings of her recent albums.  Ryan Adams version of 1989 is what I'm hoping to hear from Taylor Swift in the coming years - a more mature (less pop) version of the songs she writes.
Cuz it's been so long since someone shattered me.

Gotta give a vote for Futurebirds - Hotel Parties.  That song Hard As You Like....  Seriously, so damn good.
The Waterfall of course.
Phospho Live
FJM
I like a couple off Tame Impala
Wilco - Star Wars
