The 4 song cover leading into Steam Engine was incredible.  I could not beleieve how good they sounded.

This all sounds wonderful! It also appears they may have put in a lot of time rehearsing for this year's OBH. I love their live stuff so very much! Having the songs feel tight and flowing smoothly from one to the other makes their shows all that much more impressive.

Thanks to everybody who shares their experiences with killer updates! Please, please keep it up and maybe upload a couple of pictures...please...

Ditto thanks for all of the coverage , I've been refreshing my browser about every 5 minutes hahah. I think I can speak for all of us non-OBHers when I say, how the hell did that new tune sound?

Any chance someone got footage?

There were a few folks with cams for most of it I'm sure something will surface.

The collaborations were awesome....luv seeing so many musicians up there having so much fun.

On the new song, i honestly thought it was a cover and since i didnt recognize it i used the opportunity to use the rest room.     im trying to piece things back together but it was a long day and there were many many drinks.  Sorry that i cant be of more help.  Ill keep a sharper ear tonight.

Did anyone stay up for sylvan esso?  Any jacket appearances?

sounds awesome!  curious also as to see how the new song sounded.  asked a few friends who are there but they didn't answer me   would love to hear the songs they covered like mazzy star and the opening tune.

Anyone know the set list for the war on drugs?

Oh my am I envious! This gets me so pumped up for 2015 and the return of MMJ! I would have lost my nuts when they opened with "Ride Like the Wind". Can't wait until the bootlegs come out.

Thank you so much for the reports, I just got done shoveling 8 inches of fresh snow out here and this as well as the future reports will be much appreciated and needed!

New song kinda reminded me of "I'm Amazed" as far as accessibility goes. Kind of a straight ahead Rock pop song with a hooky vocal melody that dominated the song. The chorus was something like "what do you want me to do?".
Rest of the band/music kind of fell in line behind the vocals. I don't remember any lead guitar work or a solo for that matter.  The majority of the guitars were crunchy & distorted power chords, no riffs that I remember.

Full disclaimer: I was a bit drunk so that and the new-ness of the song kind of threw me for a loop and I could very well be remembering some things wrong.
You need it.  That's for sure.

I think this is a pretty good description (especially the I'm Amazed comparison)  If I remember correctly Carl was on the slide, (and I thought he was not happy with the volume of it).

Relatively short, no real jamming.  I say it sounded kind of like some 70's AM gold folk rock, with some funk mixed in.  (This review is subject to revisions upon second listen as I could totally be off.)

Does anyone know where I can track down the setlist for The War On Drugs? They killed it but I can't remember everything they played.

I'm always thinking "Turn up, Carl". Even when I'm walking down the street mindin' my own :)
And they REALLY need to turn up Bo in general. Really talented musician that could add a lot to the sound if he got juiced up in the mix a bit more.

Go Team Carl !!! (And Bo!)

Just one guys opinion

Edit: I did notice that it seemed Bo was, in general, turned up higher in the mix than usual, at OBH II. So you got that goin for ya...which is nice
Them that don't know him won't like him and them that do, sometimes won't know how to take him
