Should have put my name on this a long time ago, but there it is.  Was hoping to catch you on the tour again, Mr. Whippy.  Looks like your post-OBH2 prophecy has come true!

We'll be pretty haggard by the time we get to Athens.  They announced the Tame Impala tour shortly after MMJ announced theirs and they happen to be playing in Milwaukee the night before Athens..  So it will be some good old fashioned night driving, sleeping shifts, and gas station meals as we make our way down from Wisconsin with no time to spare.

Agreed! The new Tame Impala is shaping up to be another incredible effort by KP... can't wait to see all you freaks next month!

Jacket and Tame are doing more than one of the same festivals this summer.  Fingers crossed that JJ and KP meet and decide to do a side project together (would be a little strange given the age difference but how sweet could that pairing be?).

Not exactly sure how age factors in... Art is timeless brother!
Plus, they're only 7 years apart anyway. Would make for an awesome pairing though.

Really???  I didn't realize that Kevin Parker was that old he seems like a young pup...one that makes insanely good music.

I'm really looking forward to this tour starting.

Quite a few tickets are on StubHub and for under $200 - still not great but a few weeks ago there were only a few and they were all over $300.

Well, looks like I'm about to pull the trigger on a couple GATH tix online.  I couldn't be more suspect about getting pdf tickets for this show...  100% money back guarantee is fine and well, but I don't want my money back.  I want in the show!
I did get both nights at the Fox and the tickets are will call (presumably through Fox's box office ticketing?).
I know GATH used ticketfly.  Were/are the tickets will call or pdf for Athens?
Also, what time does everyone expect line to form outside for entry on night of show (5/15)?

Thanks!

The Athens tickets I bought in the general sale are PDF's and were sent via email immediately after completing the order. They have my name on them, but I think they will just scan the bar code at the door. I'm pretty sure the name could be easily edited with an image or PDF editor if needed.

FYI - Nowhere Bar is a great place to hang out pre show.  Right across the street from the GATH.  That used to be my spot back in my college days.  I hear it's still great.

I second Nowhere!  Great bar, live music & pool tables.

No show at the GATH would be complete without a stop at Nowhere Bar. It's a safe bet that our group will be there...

Nowhere was my Monday night regular for a couple years.  Darts and pool and Foster's oil cans for cheap....

For the show, do we expect that Roll Call members get early entry?
