It's almost here!

I went to the Georgia Theater last night for Gimme Hendrix and Zoso (Jimi and Zeppelin cover bands) and I asked the staff if they've received any information about the MMJ show yet. Everyone I asked had ZERO information. I was told that they probably won't have any info until the day before the show... I'm really pushing positive vibes and hoping that Roll Call entry/early entry actually happens, fingers crossed
Been lookin back, down through the ages; First I was an ancient, then I was an infant, now I'm ALIVE

I'm about 90% sure I'll have an extra ticket for face value the night of the show, if people are still looking.

^I'm pretty sure I will know plenty of people looking, if you want to take my number and let me know day of the show or whenever you figure out for sure?

I am in definite need of an extra ticket, if you will have one! Please let me know! I'll surely buy you some beers at the show! Thanks, Leatherman!

The other day during theblistening party q+a i asked them if they have considered playing the album front to back in its entirety live and his response was something like "we did it recently for two shows and it felt good, will prob do it again"

It may not be too crazy to think that this first show and maybe knoxville are going to feature the waterfall, intermission, and then an assortment of previously released stuff.  I would be all for that personally.  What do you guys think?

Thanks for all the messages about the ticket.  It's spoken for now.

I think he's probably talking about the KCRW LA show, and I doubt they'd do it like that on tour. Unless it was part of a T5 type run or announced ahead of time as an album show. JMHO.

Personally I'm not into new albums being played in their entirety early on in a tour. A few years down the road, yes, but not while it's still new. I think I have a greater appreciation for most albums over time, and it would seem much more special to me to hear this down the road than on the first leg of the tour.

Much respect Eric but, Ash and Knox aren't typical first leg type shows IMO.  They are kick off the tour shows for the faithful.  They are billed as evening with and no openers.

And I gotta say I have a severe thirst for the Waterfall, I really cannot stop listening. This album already resides within my bones and I need it now, live and from top to bottom.  Also gotta remember they are heavily touring the south later in July and August so there is plenty of time for a typical set.

I believe cause nobody knows for sure!

That's cool. To each their own. I understand you, and others would love to hear the whole album, and that's fine. It just wouldn't be my preference so soon after it's release. I'd much rather some strategic placement of some of the tunes to fit perfectly into their live show, and down the road when this album has really cemented it's place, get treated to "an album show" ala T5.  For me a big part of how great that run was, was because of the uniqueness of it, and how special all those albums had become to me over the years.

I've caught many album shows by several different artists over the years. All of them years after their release, and the specialness of those nights will never be forgotten. I don't think I would feel the same way with a just released album because no matter how much I like it, it hasn't hit that "classic" sweet spot of being a part of the soundtrack of my life yet. But again, that's just my preference.

For your sake, I hope you get it but even if you don't, I think you'll get a heavy dose of it.  Either way, "an evening with" are going to be some special nights.

Enjoy your shows.

Nowhere Bar right across the street. One of my favorites when I was in school.

We'll be at Nowhere. Pretty standard routine for shows at the GATH.

Hey guys, I am desperately looking for one ticket (maybe two) for the Athens Show.  I just can't afford the insanely high prices the crazy folks out there are charging for tickets.  I tried both the Pre-Sale and Public Sale for the tickets and somehow failed miserably.  I have been trying ever since and have only been able to find them for $175-$350.  If someone has a ticket (two if available) please let me know.  I would be willing to buy beer/cocktails.  I live in Athens, so I may also be willing to provide an overnight stay at my place if you are coming from out of town and need somewhere to crash.

Thank you!!!

Has no one mentioned pre show on the GATH rooftop bar. It's quite a treat!
