Charge is no longer pending, WU has officially taken my $.
48 hrs later, I have no tickets, and I'm out $200.

That is terrible!

ugh sorry! can paypal provide any assistance once charges have cleared?

I sent a note to MMJ management expressing my encounter with WU stating that if my problem isn't resolved (it wasn't a huge problem to fix, but frustrating that it wasn't fixed when they said it was), I won't be renewing my Roll Call membership. If enough people let them know how they were screwed, it will make a difference. MMJ wants happy fans. There is power in numbers!

Can you PM that email address/contact info so that I can also write a formal complaint about this. There is strength in numbers and the more we make MMJ management aware of the situation, the higher likelihood things will be rectified.

Jeez. Of all the RC presale fuckups by grndctrl/WU this has got to be the worst. I can't even believe they could be this bad!

I hope it gets straightened out for you, and quick too. Like Crispy, I'm hoping that means you get your tix.

Keep up posted, and if we all need to get together for a mass email writing to management then count me in.

I can't look it up at work, but
I just googled "my morning jacket management contact" and an email came up. Who knows-that might me managed by the yahoos at WU too!

Thanks for the feedback guys.

I propose we start a new thread.  An organized grassroots movement if you will.  We the fan-base are fed up with the treatment by WU.  I have already sent the band a few tweets, and i know ppl have sent emails to various email addresses, with mixed results.   But perhaps if we consolidate and organize all this contact info, and the complaints in one area, we are more likely to gain traction and get results.

thoughts?

There are already a lot of complaints consolidated in this thread.  I bet someone in the higher ups is reading.  Probably CC.

I'm so bummed you got the trifecta of not getting tickets, paying for them, and dealing with the hassle/aggravation/time wasting of getting your money back.  Fast forward a few months to when you're at one of the shows and the bitterness of this experience will fall away quite a bit.

Wow, paying for the fan club, then paying $200 to not get tickets is an all-time low.  Not to mention all the hassle you're going to have to go through just to get back to zero, nevermind all the time wasted.  This sucks...

oistheone

I am no stranger to paying for presale access through a fan club, and this is BY FAR the worst service/support I've ever encountered. It's one thing to fuck up, but to fuck up so bad that you actually take your fans money for presale access, take your fans money for tickets and then give NO TICKETS in return is just ridiculous. Actually, it's called theft.

Down for whatever rebellion/revolution/petition people want to do. Anything to change the way things are or at least let high-ups know that people are getting ripped off and we're pissed.

I sent an email to both:

manager@mymorningjacket.com
info@mymorningjacket.com

Hopefully these don't just go to Ground Control as they would just "close ticket", blame it on browser error and call it a day without answering a single question.

I am in the exact same situation as you.   Still waiting on a response from Wonderful Union who is supposedly waiting on a response from their Ticketing Department.   Wish I had never gotten Roll Call at this point.

Same boat for me too...I was incorrectly charged twice so I have over $400 officially posted to my credit card. I spoke with someone from WU this morning who said they'd never heard of such an error and isn't sure how to handle it...which is mildly horrifying. My credit card company has been surprisingly helpful though so I'm clinging to that silver lining.

At this point, I am very, very leery of purchasing any tickets on Friday, though I am dying to go to the show.

guess i got lucky

presale worked great for me

got 4 tix for athens on one computer and 4 2days for the fox theater on the other

I too am in the same spot. My $101.56 was taken from WU and no tickets for Red Rocks. PayPal has sent a formal claim complaint to WU and we are awaiting response. Everytime I call WU I can never get anyone on the line.

Man oh man.  I'm sorry you guys are dealing with this.  Seriously.

EverythingChanges

I hope CC Baxter or someone closer to the management of the band can help clear this up.

I've been working on a ticket with WU since Monday.  I keep telling them the same thing every day, but they always think of something else to question.  (Note to WU: this disaster was not user error!)
I wonder why we listen to poets when nobody gives a fuck

I am in the exact same situation... charged for 2 Red Rocks tickets but no order confirmation from WU. Looking at this thread (that I also posted to) though, maybe there is a ray of hope: http://mymorningjacket.com/forum/roll_call/3116503 It appears she got it resolved! Hopefully the rest of us get the good news next! Fingers crossed...

Hi everyone, we just wanted to let you know that we're aware of your concerns and are working with our ticketing department to identify any possible issues related to this event. We'll get back to each of you as soon as we have new information. We understand that this is frustrating and are sorry for any confusion we have caused. I just spoke to someone at WU and let them know Paypal sent a claim to them for my $101.56 that was taken out without getting tickets. They acknowledged they have the claim and the $101.56 would be credited back to me by tomorrow or Friday.

5 minutes later I received an email from Paypal that my claim was closed and that WU refunded my $101.56. It doesn't show up on my account yet but I know my bank statement might not show it until tomorrow.

Crossing my fingers the money issue is finally resolved, now I just need to get a couple GA tix through ticketmaster this Friday for Red Rocks.

I'm so ready to put this all behind me. Good luck to everyone else dealing with these issues.
