Each tour I like to envision what the perfect set list would be given their new album and how that would fit into the rest of their materials.  I am not looking for the most realistic set list but perhaps the set list that would be most ideal for you and your preferences.  Then after each show I like to check off which ones graced our presence.  Assuming they typically play around 30 songs (hopefully), below is what I have:

1. At Dawn
2. It Beats 4 You
3. Master Plan
4. Touch Me Pt. 2
5. Compound Fracture
6. Off The Record
7. Chills
8. Thin Line
9. Phone Went West
10. Remnants
11. Run Thru
12. Believe
13. Tropics
14. Honest Man
15. Early Morning Rebel
16. Lay Low
17. The Dark
18. I Will Be There When You Die
19. In Its Infancy
20. Knot Comes Loose
21. Dondante

--Intermission 1--

22. Spring
23. One Big Holiday
24. I Will Sing You Songs
25. The Bear
26. Strangulation
27. Like A River

--Intermission 2--

28. Victory Dance
29. Steam Engine
30. Only Memories Remain

So many others I want to throw on there but I have to keep it a somewhat hopeful/realistic 30 songs.  Can't wait for this tour!!  :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy:
And all that ever mattered will some day turn back to batter, like a joke.

anything that includes Memories>Dondante.
some get stoned, some get strange, sooner or later it all gets real.

I'd have to agree.  Dondante is on the "always should be played" list.  Memories I love and think it will be epic live. I've seen the youtube video of it live but the sound quality of the audio was not great due to some wind.  It will sound really crisp at Knoxville!!!

Wow...fantastic list and I could die a happy man if I were to see that performed.  My only change would be one substitution and a slight order change in the following section:

12. Believe
13. Cobra
14. Tropics
15. Early Morning Rebel

That would make my complete list...

1. At Dawn
2. It Beats 4 You
3. Master Plan
4. Touch Me Pt. 2
5. Compound Fracture
6. Off The Record
7. Chills
8. Thin Line

I think the transition from Cobra into Tropics would be EPIC!!!  Alright scosby, make this setlist happen for Birmingham please!!!

Again, great setlist Halesdd, and great topic as we sit on the eve of this MONSTER tour!!!

Thanks unravelled!  Just listened to Cobra (2004 Bonnaroo version) and Tropics back to back.  Very interesting/weird transition.  Its like you venture into some groovy/trippy/jammy territory with Cobra and then Tropics rips you right out of it into a serious tone of deep thought and emotions.  Very nice.

Have they played Octoplasm live yet?  That would be sick.

Some have claimed they have.  A Port Chester recording has "funky improv jam", which many have called Octoplasm.

There's a YouTube video of this; starts at 2:49

'twas just an insane outro jam - Carl was having issues with his pedal board and Jim launched into the jam as a delay strategy (look at Bo and Patrick's faces - they have no clue what's going on, but find a groove to follow riff line).

If you were there, you know why there's a 2 minute intro to steam - they completely unplugged Carl's board and reinstalled about 5 second before he launched into his first solo - it was a nail biter!
What's in here won't disappear

I have to admit, listening to the jam after Evelyn and then to Octoplasm, they are very much in the same neighborhood.

Yeah pretty crazy. Certainly wish I was there to witness that little doozy.

I was just listening to Okonokos on shuffle and Mahgeetah was followed by I Will Sing You Songs- sounded amazing; I think that transition would be absolutely mind blowing live! Anyone ever been to a show where they played them together like that?
I'm in love with this soul; it's a meaning that I understand

Any luck with the concert photo archive? Or can we start a new one for this tour where fans can submit their photos to a moderator and they can be uploaded on one page? The fan can list the show date and location in their submission. I know this has been discussed off and on here but I was just wondering if it is possible to bring this back. Thanks.
