they look like they couldn't care less that they're witnessing musical legends right before them.  wasted on them, meanwhile I would be all about this (as you guys would be too!)

The taper had this to say:

"More performances from this night to come, but not until next year..."

This is the fire. Must be all that J Dilla Jim's been listening to...Dilla produced this track with 2Pac...I hope they credited Randy Watson, 'cause this is pure sexual chocolate. Thanks for the share, good people. This is one of my favorite hooks of all time.

Are you aware that Bobby Caldwell wrote and recorded this song in 1978?

To tell the truth, I knew it from how frequently it was sampled on hip hop tracks, particularly J. Dilla. I had to look up the original, but that's part of the gift...learning new things and putting the pieces together.  Thank you for supplying the reference though! (:

You"re welcome. They play it and sing it note for note from the original. Its amazing how far back Jim goes. Ya gotta love it.

He is such an underrated audiophile. I always look to the guys in the band and Questlove for keys on what to get into...it has opened my world time again...

I do believe Jim's looking at his phone (and I assume the lyrics) while he's singing. I'm not sure just how far back Jim's going on this one.
