According to Seth Kauffman of Floating Action, there will be Jim James tour dates coming soon. And Seth is the new fulltime bassist in the solo band! Hella legit news all 'round.

Seth also plays on Olsen's new record, which is set for a September release, and is the bassist in James' solo band. That ensemble had its first gig on June 1 in New York City, part of a "secret" block party to unveil Cadillac headquarters' move from Detroit. "There will be tours coming up, but I'm not supposed say much else about it," Kauffman says.

Yeah, I think that a Jim appearance somewhere at the NFF or afterparty is very likely and who knows what that will look like given that the rest of the band will be there with Ray.  It will be hard to top last year but there's always surprises at Newport.
