What do we think the odds are of a return to Red Rocks next summer? I know it's pure speculation right now but I'm planning a trip to Colorado with a friend for next summer and while our reason for going is mountain climbing related, we'd love to schedule it around a couple of MMJ shows if that were to happen! I know last years RR dates were announced in mid Dec...but given the fact that the band is studio bound in the spring maybe late summer RR dates would be most likely? Would love to read some wild speculation and rampant daydreaming on the topic!

I have no clue the odds, but it's possible (already have one show scheduled in June so they will be out and about).  I'd book a summer trip closer to next March or April since by then we might know what MMJ is doing and then you can coordinate.  If I were flexible, I know I would be irked with myself if I booked a trip to CO to later find out that MMJ would be there on a night that I wasn't.

This is definitely one of the better daydreaming topics I have come across recently

I would love this to happen.  I'll be flying to Denver on my way in, and I suppose out, for an extended stay up around Wyoming and Idaho surrounding the August eclipse.  They should find a way to do a show in the path of totality up in Wyoming or Idaho.  How cool would that be :cheesy:

What would be the appropriate song for them to play during totality?  Maybe since they've been doing the Pink Floyd thing lately, it could be Dark Side of the Moon, but I'm sure there are other contenders.

We did Missoula, Boise, SLC, Vegas with national parks mixed in in '15 and it was fucking amazing.

Can't get much better than combining MMJ with the parks.  That is a lot of miles, but I'm sure totally incredible.

we did a similar trip with our kids in '15 - rented an RV in Denver and did Rocky Mountain NP, Estes, Grand Tetons and Yellowstone in 10 days leading up to MMJ @ RR.  Spectacular trip
What's in here won't disappear

I've seen them play Red Rocks the last two times around, and would welcome more. A show at The Gorge tops my list now, though.
