Has anyone seen mention of recordings of these shows being offered up with any of the VIP packages? Similar to OBH and the 2012 New Year's run...

Unfortunately not. But the last NYE run was released as downloads so maybe there is hope. But I hate how inconsistent MMJ is with offer recordings of their shows.

Agreed. And it is my understanding that they record every show, but choose to not make them available.

I've seen shows here, and the sound is A+. Gonna be a special few days.

Anyone know of a hotel within walking distance? Every site says 1.5 miles away but I swear I've seen places closer.

Aloft is a block away but they jacked their prices way up for this event.

Trying to book my trip and have a few questions.  Tried to scrub through this thread but couldn't find specific answers.  Any info would be appreciated - thanks folks!

1.  Will there be a Roll Call Early Entry?
2.  Will the VIP Entry be before the Roll Call Entry
3.  Will they do bands for the floor.  If not, how can you split and hit the head when they play I'm Amazed?

Cheers, really pumped to spend NYE with MMJ, just trying to figure out if I need to pack my lunch the rest of the year to be able to spring for VIP.

Supposedly not - I asked the venue and they said they only tried this once before for JRAD but there are no wristbands they just monitor capacity so if it gets full and you have to go piss you have to wait to get back in the floor - one/in one/out type situation which will be horrible.

Charles Bradely got his start being a James Brown impersonator so I am thinking we might see Some JB Covers on NYE.  I got that feeling?  Sex Machine?  Get on the good foot?  Ohh man...the possibilities are endless...  Maybe we will see Jim bust his old cape out?!?  That would be dope!

I cant believe I am going to see MMJ on NYE!  Bucketlist item for sure! Definitely makes the pain of not going to OBH4 subside.  So stoked!!!

Charles Bradley is amazing. I've been listening to him a LOT the last couple years. To see him playing with MMJ on NYE just floors me. Do yourself a favor and give him a listen. He has a lot of good songs (including a cover of Black Sabbath's "Changes")...but if you want to see him at full funk... check out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UD1eaRDY-q4

Sidenote: Anyone speculate on how long VIP 3 Day Packages will be available? My SO doesn't know about getting time off just yet.
Always starting over, but somehow I always know where to begin.

Seems strange to do this.  If i get into ga floor, i'm not coming out for beer, food or bathroom.  So pretty much not spending any money there......  not saying you are wrong, just seems bad for fans and the venue.

**edit i guess they could sell beer/drinks on the floor.... I have never seen them do this though...   still wouldn't buy them bc then bathrooms are outside of the floor area.

I have been to 15+ MMJ Shows in the pit and have never had issues exiting to pee or grab a drink, even from the rail.  This seems like a bit of a disaster if there is no opportunity to come and go.  One in one out from the floor is going to be a shit show.

I haven't seen anything official answering those questions. It's anyone's guess at this point. IMO.

I would think if the venue was cool with it though, there will be some type of RC early entry. No idea if it would be before, after, or at the same time as the VIP entry.

tickets still available and looking good? got a 3 night package last night just to see if they were available and definitely were, so fingers crossed if i can actually swing 3 nights and do that. But most likely looking at a one night NYE stand, as much as I wanna be there for all three nights.

Whaaaaat? Dude!

I say this with all respect and no malice at all but you can't do just one! If you're making the trek to CO for one show and as much as you love these guys, this 3-day is a must do.

Bag your lunch for the next 4.5 months, get a Saturday job, whatever you need to do to make this happen, do it. You won't regret it. Trust me, down the road you'll forget the hours you worked to pull it off but you definitely won't forget seeing a three night NYE run.

Alright y'all, the Mrs. has officially put the budgetary kibosh on OBH, so my only hope for more MMJ before the summer is this NYE run. But -- I've still gotta sell her. It's a long haul to Denver from Toronto.

I see some wine tours offered, that's a major start. Maybe some skiing? Any other sweet attractions/restaurants/wineries/parks/breweries (other than Coors) for day trips that would convince someone who loves MMJ but also loves VALUE?! $1500 for two flights is a steep price for three shows (as awesome as they'll be) -- so any tips for can't miss activities in the Denver area (that are still do-able in December) would be greatly appreciated!!

littlejimfromxavier

I've made a separate thread for this request, but I'll put it here too. Anyone know a kind soul with a Roll Call laminate who won't be attending NYE? I'd buy it off them to get early entry for these shows. Thanks a lot for any help :)

there are no shortage of amazing breweries in the Denver area, this much I can promise you. Not sure what it will be like in the winter, but Rocky Mtn Nat'l Park is pretty awesome. We plan to go skiing as well, likely stay a couple of days after the shows.
