Bo also tracks the first minute or two of drums on Law Low - Patrick catches his breath a bit

I always wondered why Patrick didn't play that part.  I never thought it was due to needed rest.  That is cool trivia to know.  Thanks.

I read that Bo is also at the controls the same at the end of Steam Engine and has the ability/flexibility to change up the Jim noises/sound effects (for lack of a better word) when he feels like it.

I think it's actually because the drums are tuned differently and wouldn't be worth tightening/loosening the kit for one song.

very curious to know how ticket sales are going with these shows. A bit surprised NYE hasn't sold out.

Im sure Umphrey's in Denver is a big reason. And I personally couldn't be happier.

Finally flipped the calendar to December and there are those three big beautiful days at the end of the month just waiting to be rocked!

I'm guessing sales have been underwhelming, based on an uptick in promotion of the shows, ticket giveaways, and releasing the news that there will be no tour of the US in 2018. All of these gestures suggest lower-than-expected ticket sales. I wish MMJ success in all that they do, so they can continue to do what they do so well. That said, I'm okay with a slightly less crowded 1stBank Center...
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

I didn't expect these shows to sell out. NYE is an expensive time of year to travel. There are a few other options in Denver and those may be some what more appealing to locals so that they don't have to drive to Broomfield.  But regardless of the crowd size I am pumped.

walterfredo

didn't realize UM is in Denver as well, that certainly takes from the pool of locals.

1st Bank seats 6500, this is a pretty big venue compared to other places they play.  When they play in Minnesota they usually play at venues that seat 2000-2500.  Also, ticket prices were a little high ($50 for the first two nights and $75 for New Years).  The ticket fees were also pretty high and are charged even if you buy in person.  I'm willing to pay whatever they charge, but I'm thinking some casual fans may get priced out (tickets were closer to $35 when they played in MN last time).  Throw in OBH not long after and I think it helps explain why these shows aren't selling out.

I agree with most of this, but the final cost for all 3 shows is $210, which is an average of $70/night and my total for 3 nights hotel 15 minutes from the venue also came to about $70/night. I think that is quite reasonable, even factoring in my bias.

it very much is!

Im so excited! Prices be damned, however many people are there be damned, I've got all the people I want there at the show anyway: Chelsea and I, Johnny, RobRoy, EricM, RkWedge, MillerJustin, Mr. White if he attends, ParkerVb if he attends, Obie Wing if he comes, Walterfredo, etc upon etc upon etc. I cannot wait to see all of you guys, get some grub, drink, smoke, talk, laugh, have a damn good time and mostly DANCE OUR ASSES OFF. I plan on conserving energy and chilling during mellow parts of the set and saving my voice and legs for NYE, but I doubt I'll be able to contain myself. You guys know how huge this is for me, never been outta state to see Jacket and now get to do it. I cannot wait to see everyone else there.

Anyone here plan on taping the shows? I've had some spotty luck on my shows being taped but I'm hoping this one gets recorded! Really really pulling for an official soundboard release.

Woody

What are the chances that they webcast NYE? Would love for that to happen. Come on boys!

Selling 2 Three Day passes for NYE.  Flash tickets.  Paid $410 for both.  Thats what i'm asking.  If you buy both three day passes, I WILL INCLUDE one ROLL CALL peacock lanyard for FREE.  Which as most of you know will give you and one other person access to Venue just a bit before general ticket holders, so you can get a spot on the floor or head to merch tent before the masses.  Once paypal is received i will transfer tickets and mail you lanyard.  Or can meet somewhere in Denver Metro area.  Probably best to text me, as i'm not always on the board.  7854771621.  Thanks, Tyson
