Since we have so many tapes, I was thinking WHAT ABOUT THE SHOWS WE HAVEN'T HEARD YET?
Put your favorite shows you haven't heard or seen a full recording of yet so we can get a database together.

Ones that sprang to mind were:
Chicago night I 2015
Beacon 2015 shows (band recorded)
Detroit 2015
Electric Forest 2016
Metro Sydney 2009
Terminal 5 (band recorded)
Chicago 2008 both nights
(1st shows after Jim's fall)
Red Rocks 2007 x2 opening for Dylan
Zephyr club SLC 2003
Voodoo Festival 2010 (it was filmed)
(MMJ): 8/2/12+8/1/13+10/07/15+12/29/17+12/30/17+12/31/17+8/21/2022+ 8/16/2024::::(JIM): 11/5/2018

Oh man, I'd love to see full video from the 2017 Electric Forest set. Mostly to see the Bassnectar army look on in disbelief when they busted into Blowin' in the Wind. I don't have any issues with Bassnectar and his fan base but that day I was particularly salty with how that whole day played out. MMJ didn't even play the full scheduled time either which was a little bummer. Unheard of for them, obviously. I still had a blast though!

Would pay good money for both 2015 Detroit Fillmore shows, too!

Man do I want those Beacon and T5 shows.

YESSSSS!!!!
Beacon 2015 is becoming forgotten completely and I haven't heard much sustained love for it from people who were there as far as all time great versions of this or that.
Although i do remember everyone saying it was the greatest Phone of all time, to which i somewhat agree.

Those nine shows are at the top of my Jacket list. I don't have much hope for T5 surfacing but I'm not giving up on the Beacon shows.

Lonn, those Beacon shows were fantastic. While there might not have been all time great versions of songs, everyone of them were done as good as I've ever seen them.  The band was tight as hell and having a blast up there, combined with a beautiful theater in both sight and sound. All that combined with locked in fans makes for a great show/shows to me.

As for the PWW, no question it was an all timer and the best I've ever seen. If it wasn't the best one ever, it's certainly in the conversation.

Amen to that Jacket sermon for I've seen a lot of the Beacon YouTube videos (Thank you whoever filmed them!!!!) And there's some dandies from that run, the omnichord missing version of Sooner driven by guitars, that Phone is intoxicating but possibly a bit toooooooo bombastic at the end but my god. I dunno the improv and timing and delivery on NYE 2017 was insane to witness. My first Phone was special as hell for you can hear them work on the Celestial jam but what they did on those Beacon shows isfreaky so many of my favorite deep deeeeeep cuts played and dusted off. But hell, MMJATL saw By My Car his first fuckin show hahah

Metro Sydney 2009 looks like a 3 hour set list on setlist.fm and 09 is such a weird year, Carl with the pornstache. There's 30 minutes of it or less on YouTube that's awesome viewing but you're just dying for more by the end

Seattle Oct 2nd and 3rd 2015. Great sets both nights, Dondante > PWW and a rare Where to begin to open the encore night 1. Night 2 I believe was the first time MMJ played State of the Art. (A.E.I.O.U.)

Interesting to see no Gideon in a two night run.  All the other big hitters were there though.
N1: Wordless, TWTHS, War Begun, IWSYS, Dondante, Outta My System, Phone, Mahgeetah
N2: Circuital, Heartbreakin Man, Wonderful, Dancefloors, Golden, Steam Engine, Black Metal, Touch Me 2, OBH
Cuz it's been so long since someone shattered me.

I NEED to hear these shows!!! Rkwedge has waxed lyrical about their brilliance and i saw them the next tour stop. It was an odd tour, the fall 2015 tour. Shorter sets (all were 2 hours though except a few) and i don't really think Jim was into it or something was up, didn't hamper his performance but he looked spooky at times in the weird velvet cape and the shades. It's only added to his mystique but it was a little dark on that run. Maybe that's why no Beacon?
Please Jim,
we're geekin 4 the Beacon

That Atlanta tabernacle show was my 1st non festival show ( following bonnaroo 2006).  Bonnaroo put me in the MMJ grave and that tabernacle show put the final nail in the coffin!  40 shows later I still have fond memories of that show, rocking out on the front row of the balcony.

I'm still waiting for Chicago 11/24/06 and Detroit 10/04/08.  Chicago had the youth orchestra and was my first MMJ show.  Detroit marked the first time I saw them multiple times on the same tour and I was blown away by how much Dondante has morphed in the month and a half since that incredible tour opener on the Nashville riverfront.

This gets thrown around a lot though.  I remember back on the last tour i wanted to create a t shirt that said "Best Phone ever"
never did though:)
