I've been messing with these two video clips that cover this entire show, trying to rip the decent audio from the .mov files to share a great show and setlist, when I thought I'd check the archive and see if it was already available.  Whaddya know?  Here it is, another nugget to tide us over through the hiatus before the 2011 spring/summer tour:

Here's a link to the video of the first half of the show, an .mov file of just under 1GB.  Warning: often jittery and uneven camera work, but watchable.  Video uses the above taping for its audio track.

Part 2 is currently uploading...

I converted this to DVD using DVD Flick, then burned it, both parts, onto one standard DVD-R disc.

as someone who was lucky enough to be on the other side of the country for work at the time, has a lot of great friends in the bay area, and attended this show, i believe you are mistaken when you neglected to BOLD all of the songs.

Sure, it was a solid show start to finish.  Thing is, if you haven't seen the video, its hard to watch sometimes, which I assume wasn't a problem if you were actually there. ;)  You guys scored a decent taping, though, but for a bit of occassionally obnoxious crowd noise (why do people go to concerts if they're gonna chat during the slow/quiet songs?).

Also, I was noting either rarities or exceptional versions of old favorites or otherwise overplayed tunes.  For example, I really liked this performance of Touch Me Part 1, not often singled out in post-show commentary.

I'm curious; do you remember if both of the posters were available at the show?

I'm pretty sure both were available.  Walter should be able to confirm. I have one...

that was one of the most jacketastic finishes i have ever seen them play.

a friend of a friend was there with us, he had been listening to jacket since around the okonokos shows but was living in south america so never had a chance to see them.  i remember after touch me i looked over at him and said dont worry joe, we still got 25 more.  he looked at me like i was nuts.  he was about to drop by the end of the show.

Amazing show!! Energy was soooo much higher than it was at the LA Greek couple nights later. What a fun night.

Johnny, just the Randy Fung poster was available at the show, the Matt Leunig was not. I contacted Matt after the show and was able to get the baseball one for a friend after the fact. The Fung was the merch poster, the Leunig was commissioned by the promoter, APE (Another Planet Presents).

Thanks for the info, WF.

Your welcome!  Don't forget your dramamine.  Use headphones or crank it.  The sound is great but for a bit of chattiness here and there.  Occasionally you'll come across a good segment of video.

The DVD for this show was torrented on dimeadozen.  It's not there now, but I wonder if the .mov files you found came from the DVD.  If they are just under a gig each, then that is a huge drop in quality.

That's how this started for me.  I went to the old thread, saw the dimeadozen torrent was dead, checked out the samples, downloaded the .mov files, then uploaded them for whomever wants 'em.

I know the quality is poor, but (again, no offense to the person who did this) the camera work is so uneven, its often nearly unwatchable.  The audio is pretty solid, the same as the audio-only taping on archive.org.

If someone has the original DVD files that were in the dimeadozen torrent, I'd definitely like to upgrade to that qualtiy.  Even though I criticize the camera work (jumpy, in and out of focus, etc.), I've watched this through almost twice and would rate it an enjoyable experience.

I took those .mov files and converted them to DVD via DVDFlick and DVDCloner7 so I could watch it on the flat screen and 7.1 system, but it is grainy, as I expected.

I upgraded my computer this summer, so I have the dimeadozen torrent DVD files on a hard drive that is not currently hooked up to this computer.  If no one else can torrent the original DVD, then I will see what I can do.

I honestly don't remember the video being that shaky.  Of course, I may be biased and overlook such deficiencies since I was there that night.

The General

EDIT

its working now. Thanks many!!
