In case anyone missed the Q&A on Discord yesterday, Jim says they are working on releasing soundboards of every show, available the day after the show. Says they're hoping to have this ready for the fall tour! So stoked. Finally!

He also said they're releasing the T5 Tennessee Fire show "in the not too distant future"

Great news and one of the things I'll always remember about TTF at T5 is how great the crowd was. Totally into it and there was hardly any chatter. It was almost church like and it jumped out to me at the moment and has stuck with me since.

We did get the occasional shout out but as far as the usual constant buzzing from all the talkers, there really was very little if any.

Can't wait to have soundboards going forward as well.
"Where's Jim going?"

That's terrific news.  Thanks for relaying the discord stuff for those of us that missed that important bit.

Amazing news... I missed that it was to hopefully be for this fall.  I thought it was for next year.

I still think we need another official video release! HOPEFULLY!

This is fantastic news and thanks for sharing it here RobRoy286!  Does anyone know where these will be available (guessing One Big Family) and/or if they are talking about releasing SBs of the old shows?

Cameron

IIRC Jim said Nugs and Bandcamp.

Yeah I guess I can't say for 100% certain. He said "the next fall tour," which could be taken as "next (2024) fall," but I gotta assume he means fall 2023. Would be unusual to already be referencing a fall 2024 tour that hasn't been announced yet, but who knows. Hoping I'm right!

Jim says they'll release a few recent shows too. When he mentioned the T5 Tennessee Fire release, I got the impression that it would be an official release. I have a feeling it'll be Live Vol. 4.

As the songs are played live today, Tennessee Fire might be my favorite album. The actual album is a totally different thing, and it's charming in its own way, but having a clean recording of the modern renditions is a dream. I kinda wish they'd release the 20th anniversary show instead, but I'm still excited for T5 if/when it's released.

It sounds like they're going to release every show that's played from now onward. Jim said they're planning on releasing some recent shows too, which makes me assume shows from the summer 2023 tour. I'm hoping that since they'll be more active in releasing stuff that they'll also do some older shows.

It was fun when they were releasing shows on Nugs somewhat regularly, but then it became only the OBH shows for like 5-6 years. Between this decision to get back into soundboard releases and the Live Volumes, it's a great time to be a fan.

First batch of 2023 shows released!

Red Rocks
Berkeley
Oregon
San Diego
Tempe

This was a great surprise.  The Dondante from Berkeley is amazing.  As is the extended Spring from Red Rocks.  I'm excited to listen to all these shows.

Listening to Tempe now. That show is a straight rocker. Tropics into You Wanna Freak Out is such a cool combo.

I agree you with ericm that the TTF T5 show most certainly had a quieter vibe to it.  I also remember people staying in the place they pretty much were at from the start of the show, even with it being GA.  The size of the crowds for TTF and At Dawn appeared to have less in attendance based on the following nights there after.

These soundboards are making me so incredibly happy.

We did our first set of downloads and all I can say is this is the best idea ever!  I have been on the fence for years about paying nugs but this MMJ fun pushed it to a whole different level.  Thanks to everyone who makes it happen!!!

I'd never done a subscription, just bought the shows. But for this tour I'm definitely gonna buy subscriptions by the month, then eventually buy the ones that sound the best.

And this tour is the BEST time for this. They sound so good and the setlists are wild. Clearly they're eager to get these sounds out there. I've been refreshing the page all day impatiently awaiting last night's show to go up lol.

As an FYI, nugs always does a promotional thing around Xmas/new years where they offer an annual subscription for $50. I do this every year.

Hell yeah thanks for the tip!

Still loving the soundboards, but we're very curious why Saturday's Beacon 10/21 show apparently was skipped over (at least so far)?  Could it be because of the Dear Prudence tease?  I sure hope not...
