This is fantastic news and I can't wait to get my hands on a 4K BluRay copy for home!

Do we think there will be a broader re-release?
Sometimes when I get in my zone, you'd think I was stoned, but I never as they say, touched the stuf

The original announcement said more cities to be announced later for screenings, not sure if hard copy or digital download will be available.
Anytime

I literally received my 4K BluRay copy of Stop Making Sense the day before this was announced.  It looks and sounds amazing - words can't describe it - but you have to have the right setup and fortunately we do.

We even have a disco ball over the TV (yes we do!), so we are primed and ready for a 4K Okonokos disc.

BRING IT ON!

(And I will be shocked if we don't have one by Christmas)

The whole 4k thing gets to me though in the respect that you have to have a new 4k TV, a 4k disc player, and the 4k disc all in one place, rather than just say a Blu Ray. I understand 4k for the theaters, though. I watched some Euros matches in 4k this summer, so maybe our TV is 4k and I just didn't know that, but I hope if they do release it again they actually include the entire two nights of filming. Would be incredible. Extra footage from the making of the weird plantation party scenes. Hopefully soundcheck stuff. It could be quite an epic package. With more footage available than anyone realizes thanks to Sam Erickson.

Got an email with some new screening dates in our neck of the woods, but both Cincinnati showings are on a Monday and both KY showings are on a Thursday which doesn't work for us, so I guess we're back to hoping for a BluRay.
