As you can tell from my other post that is up, I am a newbie to MMJ (started listening to them in Jan or Feb).  Since I STILL have not received my copy of AT DAWN in the mail, I am trying to get my fix of MMJ (I have totally worn out acoustic citcuosa and ISM).  Anyway, my question is, are there any good bootlegs out there???  I keep on reading about how awesome their live shows are and since there are none coming up in the immediate future, I wanted to know:

1) what is the best bootleg, which shows off the bands live performance the best and has good recording quality?

2) can someone please share it with me in yousendit form or by sending the mp3s to me in a zip drive or individually?

Thanks guys!

i can only find the cats cradle one on there...is that the best one.  I only want to get one before I get at dawn.  Also, are they mp3 files on that website?...because they are some funky file types.....how does this site work?
thanks.

dude, if you want me to send you the aac files (only works with iTunes) i'd be more than happy. If you don't have iTunes, i can make em into mp3s. I have both of those shows and they are totally worth owning.

i want the one with the best sound quality in a form that I can put onto my itunes.  So whatever is easier for you would be awesome.  Thanks!

Go for Cat's Cradle.  The sound is a bit quiet, but the show was incredible.  :)

And blast it in your room so that you can dance, or alternately you have a bed to lie down on when you break down and cry.  Which you will.  ;)

if you want to experience what mmj is like live and have a good sound quality recording, you should go onto the Bonaroo website and download last year's performance, "Return to Thunderdome".  It costs money but it's worth it. :)

I'm with AMD on this one. Go to www.livebonnaroo.com and get last year's show. It's $10 for the mp3s, but it's a multitrack soundboard recording.

Isn't the toronto show supposed to be really good?

aMillionDreams

yeah, it's one of the better ones.  I think that the earlier stuff is better personally, but I may be biased towards it.  I think it's no secret on this board that my favorite show of all time is the Planetarium show, 09-08-01.  But if you're looking for a good show from a-tree, toronto is a good way to go.  The shows from headliners 9-26/27-03 are also very good, but again I might be biased.  Happy hunting!  If  you have a trade list you can send me a PM.

Nikkogino,

are you listening to the guys????????

Download the Bonnaroo, its a great gig.

The live version of It Beats 4 U is amazing and Steam Engine wont ever be bettered as a live recording.

Nikkogino

yeah, but I don't have the money now.  I will probably get it pretty soon though.  I'm still waiting on "At Dawn".  I think the mailman has been listening to it because I ordered it last week.
