I know you've thought about it.

I am going to section myself off in my room, alone, with some wine, and medium light.  I'm going to sit down and listen.  Then, I'm going to listen again, on headphones, while I'm looking at the coverwork.

Then, and only then, and only if I'm ready, will I be able to listen to it with somebody else.  And hopefully, there will be dancing.

I think it will have to be either late day, or night.

i'm going to open the packaging, get in my car, put the cd in the cd player, and listen to it until I get home from best buy.  Then I am going to get back in my car and listen to it until I get to work.  Then I am going to listen to it on the way back from work.

It will definitely be a case of me sitting in my room with the blacklight on.  Then I'll put on a pair of good headphones and listen to it twice through.  Then I'll smile and probably listen to it a third time.

i have that day off.  im looking for a new job, so no enhanced state of mind, so to speak.  i think ill run inside, jam a few select songs (lay low, dondante), run outside, get in the car, and drive through the hills with the windows down (hopefully) jamming to all of it at least once through.

i've already got a vinyl listening party scheduled. So it all depends on when my darn vinyl gets here, and then we're in. Secret song and all.
The river is moving. The blackbird must be flying.

i get out of school at 11am to co-op, and at work i am allowed to listen to music. I don't have to be at work till 12pm, so during that hour, i will get a copy of Z at Best Buy. I will listen to it at work till 4pm while doing computer work. Then hopefully by the time i get home my vinyl and pre-orer cd will be here at home and i can give Z a proper candlelight listening.

I have thought about driving on old country roads this Friday night and listening to Z
Hold my life until I'm ready to use it

MMJ_fanatic

definitely nighttime listening, low light.  the first time through on the big speakers then I'll probably check out the headphone route finally blasting through a car stereo while travelling a fav piece of country road 8)
Sittin' here with me and mine.  All wrapped up in a bottle of wine.

The idea that I'd like is to buy it, go home, put it in my collection and not listen to it yet for about a week or so.

I did something like that when I bought the Joy Division catalogue a while ago (Unknown pleasures, Closer, Substance). At that time I wasn't feeling all that well and I felt I shouldn't play music like that. So I waited. After a while, I started listening to Substance, then Unknown pleasures, and Closer even much longer after that. It was great to know that there's an entire album in your collection that you have yet to discover. And right now, I'm more or less doing the same with Bob Dylan. I bought Highway 61 revisited, Blood on the tracks and Blonde on blonde more or less at the same time and now, to not drown in Bob, I focus on them on at a time. I've had Highway 61 revisited, now I'm gonna dive in Blood on the tracks, and then I know I still have Blonde on blonde waiting there.. I like that feeling, like all those books I have that I still haven't read.

I don't think I'll be able to wait, though. :)
I'm ready when you are

Cool idea.

I'm having mine delivered from the US. I hope that means I'll get it a little earlier but maybe not. I couldn't listen to it for the first time in the car though. I'll need to concentrate on it and won't be able to drive at the same time. I've only heard the tiniest of snatches, apart from 'Off The Record' so I don't know what to expect. No, driving's out of the question, but I'll put it on as soon as it gets here. No waiting for the right moment for me!

Sleazy Rider

Prescription Narcotics and some wine{my favorite state of mind}, Mr.James and me outside after dark, tears of joy streaking down my face. Beautiful.
Can't Wait!!!!!
Politics. It's a drag. They put one foot in the grave, and the other on The Flag.

well, provided this same day guarantee holds up, i'll get home from work, grab my cd off the front porch, then calmly walk inside and rip it to my ipod. 'round midnight i'm gonna hit some non-descript mississippi country gravel backroad, roll the windows down, hit play, and hit my good and all should be well in my world for the next 45mins up to the next 72 hours whereby i will be in knoxville rock'n. This bliss should last well into the next day when i head to nashville and rock out.  At this point, well, we all know its gonna go downhill from there. But at least i'll have the albumn to keep me company. and that's what this is all about right? the company of Z?
You need it.  That's for sure.

JacketGal

Listening on headphones with my eyes closed and a glass of wine....second time I'll open my eyes and read the lyrics and probably bang my head around a little!  [smiley=afro.gif]
But seein you feels good, and its always understood.
That anything much sweeter would make me die.

Yeah, all wrapped up in a bottle of wine would be perfect.
