Aside from the shout-out to Tom, which is ALWAYS awesome, here are highlights of this article for me:

QuoteThe haunting eight-minute closer is life.

QuoteAt exactly the 3:30 mark, James's voice uncovers all the emotions of our existence. The pain, the naked emotion, the fight - and then he goes even further at the 4:31 mark and ravages his soul over a screaming, distant guitar, taking the listener to a place where race and religion, class and country no longer have meaning. With "Dondante" Jim James and My Morning Jacket have taken the language of music and made it universal. They have created a masterpiece that can change one's perception.

QuoteJim James's voice will show you the way, and for a few moments, the world will make sense.

God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

I want you to know that I imagine you as the camp counsellor that everybody really liked.  :)

If I was Camp Counsellor everybody would get fucked up, listen to My Morning Jacket, and stare at the stars.  So yeah, everybody would probably like me, or I'd send their asses home!!!
There's Still Time.........

And even more holy fuck is that John Leckie produced Z. Check out the man's creds here:

So true, I get goosebumps everytime I listen to it.
All right, all right I'll ask her. Miss, miss! Do you know where the high school girls hang out around here? What? What? That's right, I'm the asshole! I'm the asshole!
