Xmas Curtain...what's it about?

So Since tis the season, and I was listening to At Dawn today...anyone know what this song is about?  Can you point me in a direction to start researching it?  My initial thoughts...it's somehow about a prostitute.  But what does "Criminals who never break the law" have to do with that?  Love the song, and I'm just looking for some insight.  Thanks.

Good question,was wondering the same thing yesterday while listening(and singing lol).I love the lyrics to this song...not really sure of what it means but that's the case with a lot of my fav lyrics.

I do recall that some people felt it was about the have and have nots during Christmas, the XMAS curtain being the thing that divides people. The line "like me and J who'd pay, but can't afford the finer things in life so we heist them all....we're criminals that never break the law"

But to tell ya the truth as many times as I've heard it, I still find different meanings here and there.

i think the womb is that special place inside all of us and the christmas girl is the christmas spirit that makes you feel all warm and cozy like fallin in lvoe with a girl and that whole dividing line thing works as well....and the bad kids who are on santa's naughty list are the criminals who never break the law and they have to pay (not necessarily in money) to get a part of that christmas spirit
