So I decided to support My Morning Jacket, not download illegaly and buy there album. But there is only on huge problem i put in the Cd Z and then a program came up it only lets me rip it to my computer using this program, then once i do that its protected so i cant put it on my Zune. I tried ripping it with the Zune sofware for almost all cd's it works out fine but it was all skipy and bad quality. Then i did the same process with Itunes the same thing happened. So i gues MMJ expects all of us legal buyers to just re-buy the album... using a online store. Im very dissapointed.

Oh shit, I just realized you could actually download the album "illegaly" now and all will be right in the world.  I mean you payed the money for the cd right?  Then again you could just e-mail the band and ask them why they expected you to buy the album twice.  I'm curious as well.

you can override the protection. There's a solution posted on MUSIC somewhere back when Z came out. I had the same problem but was able to load it bypassing the protection stuff and it works fine on I tunes. I'll see if I can find the link.

So i tried removing media max, it worked i think. But the music is all skippy like i have a porable cd player while throwing it up in the air it sounds horrible. When i put Z into a normal cd player it works fine. I dont want to illegally download there album, cause of viruses, already emailed mmj does anyone have any other suggestions?

As far as making quality stereo products go, I've never had a problem with Sony.

Can you even buy a copy with that shit on it these days?  I thought all of the news ones were fixed.  I guess there could be a few of the old copies still floating around in record stores in places where people don't know good music.

I don't think there should be any copies going onto the shelves.  And...  I am pretty sure that Sony was offering refunds or replacements for that whole debacle...  Confirmation anyone?

There was a refund but the process you had to go thru was a joke.  It would take you several hours just to get your money back.  I guarantee hardly anybody bothered.
