Not to tear off of the mission, but I gotta say... I never liked Chills (Acoustic) that much, but the full band version is very, very sweet.

Not sure if this next one counts or not :

"By My Car" (My Morning Jacket) - Acoustic Citsuoca Vinyl
--- and that's 2 real 4 u.

I would definatly like to see a list of all the songs they have played live that are not on albums.  What I'm trying to do with this thread is create a list of studio tracks that can't be found on the albums or the ep's and put them together into a complete disc or two (not for sale or anything just my own personal disc, I wanna make sure I get all the songs on it).  Also, I would include the demo's disc and early recordings with studio records.  Thanks for all the help so far.  So this is what we have thus far.....

1. "Where To Begin" (My Morning Jacket) - Elizabethtown Soundtrack
2. "Same In Any Language" (Nancy Wilson) - Elizabethtown Soundtrack Vol. II
3. "Breathin'" (My Morning Jacket) - Run Thru Single
4. "Wear Your Love Like Heaven" (Donovan) - A Gift From A Garden To A Flower: Tribute To Donovan
5. "Behind That Locked Door" (George Harrison) - The Mother Lodge:Tribute To The Rudyard Kipling, Vol. 1
6. "Blue Moon" (Bill Monroe) - Louisville Is For Lovers 5
7. "Still Feeling Blue" (Gram Parsons) - Return to Sin City - A Tribute to Gram Parsons
8. "Wild Horses" (Gram Parsons) - Return to Sin City - A Tribute to Gram Parsons
9. "Oooh, Las Vegas" (Gram Parsons) - Return to Sin City - A Tribute to Gram Parsons
10. "Girl From The North Country" (Bob Dylan) - Dylan Covered
11. "Epichord" (Jim James) - Louisville Is For Lovers 6
12. "It Makes No Difference" (The Band) - Endless Highway
13. "Chills"  (My Morning Jacket) - Off  The Record Single
14. "How Could I Know" (My Morning Jacket) - Off The Record Single

I don't have epichord, what's that like.  Wasn't "Blue Moon" on something besides Louisville is For Lovers?

My instinct wants to respond 'Yes' right away.

Come to find out, I've actually got Blue Moon. It's a clean studio version.

Let me know if you'd like it.

I feel like I've heard him sing Blue Moon Over Kentucky but I can't remember where, I don't have any LIFL's

Didn't someone else sing it on one of the Elizabethtown cd's,  I think it was a short 5 song disc.  Do you know what I'm talking about.  I think it had "I Will Be There When You Die" on it.  I can't seem to find it on the internet.

On my "extras" disc, which I call, Chapter 3: (The rest of the title I havn 't decided yet ;)) I put everything you show on this list except for the Gram Parsons Tribute.  I thought that was DVD only.  Can someone point me to these tracks?  I have live boots of these but not studio quality recordings:

As well as these:

*Mother (Pink Floyd) - Darlas has a treat for you Volume (14? can't remember now)
*old september blues (acoustic) - My Morning Jacket - Run Thru Single
*R.I.P.V.G. - My Morning Jacket - Heartbreakin' Man EP  (I guess this doesn't apply to your "no ep's" list but since it's not available, I put it on my CD)
*By My Car - My Morning Jacket - Acoustic Citsuoca Vinyl
*old september blues - My Morning Jacket - 2 meter sessions

I also put on a Month of Sundays song called "The Right To Bear My Name" which was free on their website for a long time along with Bruise, which made the new ablum.

Finally, I think I have discovered a new version of At Dawn, more on that later.....

MMJ Covered Blue Moon Over Kentucky in a jam where they also played Up On Cripple Creek. It's a rough live recording, but that's all I can find in my iPod at the moment, besides the Louisville Lovers rip.

I've also got...

"Girl From The North Country" (Bob Dylan)... Bright Eyes/Jim James Duo (Dylan Covered)
"Mother" (Pink Floyd)... Studio Quality (Darla Has a Treat For You)
Hot Burrito #1 (Gram Parsons)... Studio Quality

--- and that's 2 real 4 u.

BH

The Blue Moon from Louisville is for Lovers is not the Bill Monroe Blue Moon.  It's the classic Blue Moon written by Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart in 1934 and performed over the years by Connee Boswell, Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra, Mel Tormé, Vaughn Monroe, Dean Martin, Frankie Laine & Michel Legrand, and Tony Bennett, with Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Dizzy Gillespie, and Django Reinhardt.

That was all in my head, really.

In my iPod listing, I've credited the cover to Elvis Presley. Just my personal preference... Jim seems to really enjoy covering Elvis' work.

Good Stuff thanks boys!!

It looks like I still need Blue Moon to then.  Then, I will have collected them all....just like the pokemon!!!!! (AS Sean would say)

Now, let's see if we can list all the recordings Jim has been a guest on.

I need my collection to be unrivaled.

Disc 3 (Colaborations)

There's Still Time.........

Angry Ewok

I'll be e-mailing these three to you from work, this morning...

"Blue Moon"... Studio Quality (Louisville is for Lovers)
"Girl From The North Country" (Bob Dylan)... Bright Eyes/Jim James Duo (Dylan Covered)
Hot Burrito #1 (Gram Parsons)... Studio Quality

I know you've already got these, but the quality is pretty strong, so if yours are better than these... then I need to "hollaratchaboy"...

By the way, I have yet to see anyone with the How Could I Know? iTunes exclusive track from Okonokos. I've already got the damn thing on vinyl and CD, I really don't want to buy a digital version from iTunes when I've already got it on my iPod (with Acoustic Chorale)...

Also...

I've got a feeling I'm not the only completest who is in the process of tracking down all of the available Month Of Sundays and hotel Roy material. I've ordered two Month of Sundays vinyls, but does anyone know of an alternate source for hotel Roy, besides eBay? Also, I've heard rumorations that it was on vinyl, but no evidence to support that... anyone know anything about that?

And when the fuck is Tennessee Fire and At Dawn going to be re-released on Vinyl?!

:)

I need that too.  It's not on Acoustic Chorale I don't think.  It's the one track that you can only get with the vinyl or ITunes.

okay, i'm not sure what you're not counting. for example there's a live version of sooner from a mojo magazine comp that is very good quality. there are other examples like this one too.

there is a very rare single CD single with the band Ruckus from Elizabethtown featuring "Freebird".

there's old sept blues from 2 meter, which i still don't have (any help out there?)

the best source for discography stuff is always ger's site:
http://www.gerpotze.com/mymorningjacket/

also, brian, his list of collaborations is not complete but it's a good place to start:
http://www.gerpotze.com/mymorningjacket/collaborations.html
looks like he's missing:
w/ M Ward - Chinese Translation
w/ M Ward - Magic Trick
w/ M Ward - Headed for a Fall
w/ America - Golden

EDIT: also, Brad, there is a vinyl version of Hotel Roy that does not delete the curse words.  it's ultra rare, i ain't got it. there's a guy on the pig with it but i'm guessing he hasn't shared it yet.

EDIT #2: I also don't have How Could I know on my computer though i have the vinyl. that one seems rare even though it's available on itunes, i just can't bring myself to buy a 4th copy of okonokos!
