QuoteHey, for my records, can someone (Kory-Dylan) tell me which songs were on the original At Dawn Demos that are not on this release?  If I remember right, this new release does not cover everything.

The only think it looks like it lacks from the original Demos cd is "Honest Man"
Here is the original tracklisting...

  1. Way That He Sings
  2. Hopefully
  3. Just Because I Do
  4. Bermuda Highway
  5. Lowdown
  6. Honest Man
  7. At Dawn
  8. I Needed It Most
  9. Lead Me Father
 10. Phone Went West
 11. Chills

i noticed one was missing but hadn't looked to see which.  i guess they decided to excluded it since they are including the spectacular version of honest man from live lunch 2001.  i'm sure we could hook up those of you that don't already have the at dawn demos with that track.

Ahhhh yes, you saw where I was going with that..... ;)
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

Do alot of these have that 'too loud/distortion' on the vocals like some of the stuff on the 'Early Recordings' CDs? I'd like to get excited about buying this, but honestly that distortion can really ruin things bigtime for me.

that's what makes 'em great!  its raw...maybe the first time the song has ever been recorded!
If you're lucky, MMJ will fill the void you didn't even know you ever had. If you're luckier, you'll get to see them live.

Kory

Can you guys think of any other band that releases this much stuff for their fans? We've got to be the most fortunate fans!

I went ahead and ordered this last night just so they will hurry up and tell us that it has been delayed.  I want to move on. ;)

Hi folks,

I have had information, and all changing release dates and tracklists on my site since the first time this was announced. All this time Darla really wanted to release this, but as they explained (again) it was the band and their management who asked to wait. In the mean time I have been of assistance in sending Darla all versions of "Lil Billy" I had in my archive (I ended up sending two discs with a total of 23 versions). After listening, the 2 Meter Session version was supposed to be on the final disc. It took a while, but Darla managed to get a recording from the 2 Meter people (instead of my FM copies, which can be found over at the Live Music Archive - check The Tapings section of this board for all info on that). I hadn't heard from Darla for a while, and was pleasantly surprised to get the mentioned email telling us that the disc was ready to ship! However, the 2 Meter version of "Lil Billy" is not on the disc, probably they found another recording after all, because (as Chandra from Darla wrote when I asked) "We did finally get the 2 Meter version of Lil Billy, but Jim liked another one better, "live at Nashvegas" is all I know."

Now, let's hope they ship soon!

An unreleased song like the forementioned "Lil Billy" but never played live I would say.

God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

Well, could be. Hadn't thought of that. On the other hand I'm not really familiar with Heart's output ...

Sherpa
