QuoteHow is this song weak?

Brad's iTunes playcount

Highly Suspicious: 130

That's how weak I think it is.

Brian- I think this is Brad's way of saying he would be down with the dry humping.     :-*

:)

yes, and Brad DOES get the HIGHLY COVETED "Reach Around"

There's Still Time.........

Angry Ewok

Reach around? What's that mean?

QuoteI love the song.  I don't see how anyone who is familiar with MMJ and Jim's uncanny virtue of not taking life too seriously is surprised at all with it.

I agree. Cool song. Glad they left it on the album. I never fail to crack up the first time the background vocals are sung.

QuoteWOW!  Never, ever, ever in the history of my music loving life has a band/song/artist made me drop my jaw (literally) with pure excitement joy and suprise!

This song sounds like a MUSICAL ORGY of Prince, Talking Heads and Depeche Mode!

Poo on you to any old fans that can't appreciate the balls, talent, creativity and strive that this great band delivers to YOU the fan.

Dude - thank you...I keep seeing review after review with the Prince comparisons and it annoys me because Evil Urges and Highly Suspicious SCREAM Talking Heads. Yeah, maybe the falsetto is Prince reminiscent, but as a whole I think these sound so much more like TH than Prince...they ROCK way too hard for Prince

That said, first listen I was totally WTF?!?!, but after realizing the comedy of the lyrics and how much it rocks, who gives a god damn!! cant wait for this live  :D
The thing is, Bob, it's not that I'm lazy, it's that I just don't care. - Peter Gibbons

QuoteMy favorite on the album!  I don't understand why anyone could not like it.  Listening to it with a nice subwoofer is a treat too.

The bass drums on the track are insane with a subwoofer.  And I agree with Tracy - things* are going down when this is played live.

The trouble with the straight and the narrow is it's so thin, I keep sliding off to the side

I'm glad that I'm not the only one who hears the inherently dirty nature of this song!  ;)

Thanks for posting Tracy. Btw, love the Grohl!

When a band stays stagnant and plays it "safe," it's like you always know what to expect - no excitement, just more of the same.

MMJ pushes the proverbial envelope at every turn. The guys aren't afraid to experiment. That's what it's all about. When it becomes boring, then it's done. Not so in this case. Gotta love a band who goes out and rocks it every night and never stays still. I have never seen the same MMJ show twice. As for Highly Suspicious, how completely different and exciting. You can see by the vid here how much fun the guys are having. Who would want it any other way! I want to be surprised and this album has surely done that!

Jellyrolls

Where did you get that picture of me!? :D

I LOVE this song....it's FUN!!!

Talk less....
Say more.

laylow82

did anyone read the interview where Jim mentions that the song is about being paranoid and thinking bobbies (british policemen) are going to get you.  I thought that was neat.

The song is pretty badass...people are not liking it because its sounds nothing like mmj.
