Anyone know anything about it or have seen it?

"The film's rocking soundtrack features an eclectic and heady mix of established artists and up-and-coming acts that blur the lines between music genres and seamlessly blend a variety of influences from metal to rap. They include Missy Elliott, eclectic Detroit-based rock band Electric Six, New York artist K7, five-piece band My Morning Jacket, rapper Talib Kweli, alt rockers Blink 182, hip-hop Fanny Pack, punk group Damone, the six rappers of Jurassic 5, singer Jeannie Ortega, Fall Out Boy, Green Day, Styx, Adam Ant, and even Perry Como and the film's John Patrick Amedori. "

I found the soundtrack online and it didn't have any MMJ.  Could they have used a different name like Ruckas???
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

Yeah, I looked it up on itunes and it didn't show up with any MMJ.  Which, honestly, would be fine.  That movie looks stupid. :-/

Word.  And, I'm not sure how I feel about them being on the same soundtack as Fall Out Boy.  You know, cuz my opinion counts so much.

I second that.  Emo-Pop and Space Rock shouldn't go together.

"....and the Oscar for Best Picture goes to.......Stick It!"

come on...Jeff Bridges as a gymnastic coach?? fucking brilliant!!

now if we can only get a film starring Randy Quaid and Beau Bridges titled "I Hate My Brother," I can die in peace.
....as mayor of Drugachusettes, I declare this pizza to be...AWESOME!!!

That is hilarious! I could actually think of worse band than Fall Out Boy and that is Good Charlotte. They are the most pitful excuse for a band if there ever was one. Who wrote their songs, junior high kids? Actually junior high kids are probably more creative than they are.  :P

Good Charlotte just seems like a huge band full of posers who essentially write about the same theme each album; they just switch the words around a little in every song, which of course leads to more songs about teen angst and how pissed the vocalist is that his girlfriend broke up with him.  Um...shallow.  I could go on, but I won't.

goldengirl

Exactly! Except the sad thing is, they are like 30 years old. Um...get over it. She dumped your ass because you are a loser. So I take it Primushead, you are a big fan of Primus? I get to see Les Claypool in concert this summer. He is a crazy man!

primushead

I still listen to primus every now and again.  I DO have every album they made and the majority of Les's solo stuff, though. Have fun at the show this summer.  I saw him last July in Asheville and it was excellent.

lrschic

I actually liked the movie. And I like Fall Out Boy. The song was "One Big Holiday" from It Still Moves.

The dudes in Good Charlotte are 30?  Is that true?

Anyhow, just because you're 30 doesn't mean you suddenly don't feel bad about stuff.

goldengirl

I wasn't trying to say that when you are 30 you should feel bad about stuff. 30 is still really young to me. All I meant was that I don't like Good Charlotte. I think their songs are lame and they are repetitive. I was just making fun of them. Sorry if you got offended.

EC

i wasn't offended.  i was just pointin' out.  (because i'm 32, and i occasionally get bummed. ;))  i was just surprised that those guys were 30.

goldengirl

Well I know how you feel. I just turned 25, and I am sure you probably think I have no reason to be bummed, but it was kinda hard. I mean when you are like 19 or 20, you think you will have all your shit together by 25. Well...not so much. It creeps up on you fast. Before you know it, you have to say "Holy shit. I am an adult. When did that happend". All the years flew by too fast from all the partying I do. I think I need to slow down.

Yeah, that won't happen.

EC

i remember feeling really weird when i turned 25, too.  in fact, that was the weirdest year age-wise.  but i was really excited to turn 30 and so far it's been pretty terrific.  :)

i have no idea what being an adult means anymore.  but i do know that you can still have fun no matter how old you are.  just don't let yourself get caught up in what anybody else thinks you should be doin'.

primushead

QuoteI mean when you are like 19 or 20, you think you will have all your shit together by 25. Well...not so much.

I'm 21 and I don't think I've EVER had my shit together up to this point.  Whoever has their shit together ANYTIME between 18-30 is doing pretty well in my eyes.

peanut butter puddin surprise

HA!  Anyone, regardless of age, who says they've got their shit together is full of shit.  There, I said it.

That's what life is;  a never ending attempt to get one's shit together, only to have life shit all over you in the process, keeping you from getting said shit together.  Once you realize that shit is a major part of it all, you can concentrate on the good stuff, and give a shit less about getting your shit together.

Shit.

Shit.

Shit.

Like my daughter, for instance.  She's the most important thing, ever.  Fuck everything else.
