I checked both copies and all the etched codes match so it's from the same plates. The vinyl quality is pretty different though. Badman's is noticeably thicker... dunno if it's 180 gram thick but the Rough Trade is thinner. Nicer sleeves though on the RT.

I wonder which version Ear X is selling? We're probably gonna swing by there and pick up some vinyl goodies.

no problem Brad. I've been in twice this week, they seem to be getting more and more vinyl in that place. They recently moved it all upstairs about 6-8 months ago and it seems they keep adding new racks all the time. I guess a lot of indie stores are like this though with the popularity of vinyl on the rise.

Vinyl is the way to go... a lot of artists are even including the CD with the vinyl, which is genius.

That little bonus might explain one of the reasons why Evil Urges has been in CIM's Top 5 in vinyl sales since the debut. I think it's down to #9, this week, but it may shoot back up as the tour edges closer.

I've been looking forward to going to this store since I got our tickets. There isn't really any good places to get new vinyl in Birmigham for a good price so I'm stocking up when we get there.

It's much worse in Tuscaloosa, man. We've got one store that sells vinyl - and the shelf is about a foot deep and six feet wide. Not a huge selection, in other words.

i got my EU vinyl the other day. ordered it from somewhere, elusive disc.com i believe. anyway, i got the deal with the LP/CD. i was thinking that they were separate, but in fact the cd is packaged inside the vinyl. i had not planned on opening it, so i guess i have to buy the cd again. hrm! sarsgraaarrrrddddd!!!!!!

You have got to be talking about OZ. That's where I pre-ordered EU and got it about a month late, but I was expecting it because of all the vinyl warping. I go there every time I'm in T-town and look around. The selection is about the same but Oz is much much cheaper. For some reason the two stores in Birmingham like to mark up the prices on their vinyl like crazy. It's very hard to get anything under 30 bucks regardless of the band up here. But yea I know what you mean about that little bin that you have to lean over to see what they have. I think someone just needs to open up an Ear-X or some store like that around here. Note to all of you entrepreneurs out there...

Bingo. I like Oz, but yeah, the bins are just sad. I've seen flea market booth with a larger, fresher selection of vinyl. Not hating on Oz, though, I hope someday it is economically feasible to cater towards folks like us, or build a big independent store like Ear X around here.

I bought mine through Tower records website and it is straight as an arrow (whew) and the vinyl is imppressively heavy--I assume 180 g
Sittin' here with me and mine.  All wrapped up in a bottle of wine.

I ordered a second copy of okonokos on Amazon because I saw it for 35 bucks... they said it was the cd but I noticed the label was badman and it said 4 discs so I took a chance. I used free shipping and it shipped from Cincy on Friday. Arrived here this morning and it is in prostene shape. it was in a pretty big box but it was shrink wrapped to a piece of cardboard so it wouldnt' move around. Amazon has renewed my faith in ordering vinyl from them. Thought I'd share a positive story...

Does anyone know where the best place is to order this from to ensure that it's not warped?  Recommendations?

Got my Evil vinyl at EarX yesterday... it's nice and thick (that's what she said!). One of the best sounding vinyl records I've bought.
