Okay, people sounded a lot like they wanted to do this in the shows part of the forum. So here goes.

Let's do the get well soon card. Maybe we could draw it ourselves, I don't know, but we can just start a big mailing chain for everyone who wants to be on it.  If you want I could get it rolling, or if someone wants to personally draw one, we could have them start it. If you're in, just email me your home address at tomeisenbraun@gmail.com and we'll get this sucker goin. I figure if we organize so that it's getting mailed from closest area to closest area, we'll get it done quickest.

I hope this works out.

Another thought, it doesn't just have to be a card. We could make a whole care package and have each person mail their thing to one location (I could do it, or we could have someone from Lousiville do it) and then send the whole box worth of cards, candy soup, etc. But I think we should still do the one big card from the message board deal.

I think a universal card would be good.  We could put liquor in there too (seriously, maybe mini bottles) and mixed cd's.  I dunno...just throwing stuff out there.  Tom?

haha, or we could pitch in for it and get one of the guys to get it for us when we send it down. I don't want to have to deal with shipping liquor, especially since i'm not 21.

but yeah, i mean we can work that out if you would like. honestly everybody, anything you want to send, just get it to me and we'll get it down there.

Except for liquor. For liquor, send the money and I'll have it bought when the package gets to Louisville, so we don't have to ship it.

I'm definately down. It would probably be quickest to keep it electronic.  If you wanted to draw a picture or a personal message you could scan it.  Someone could compile these, then someone else could print these out and take them to him. Maybe we could all chip in to buy him a huge teddy bear or something like that, too.  Just some ideas, but we should do something.

ah, the scanning would work. well, i don't know, it's always nice to get something authentically hand-written. Maybe if you could all just mail stuff in, I could compile it. We could do the card as a different thing, too. Start mailing it around and have it get there later than the package. They don't have to come together.


So yeah, let's do that. Let's make it a box, with a bunch of stuff from different people. Feel free to send in crazy pictures or little cards or personal little things you'd like to send to him, as well as any type of gift items (i.e. teddy bears, muppet dolls, fake teeth, etc...) you'd like him to have. If you wanna buy him some good ol Maker's Mark, just send enough cash to cover the bottle and we'll make sure that it gets in there when the box gets to Louisville, but before it's in Jim's hands.


If you're going to mail stuff, email me and i'll give you my address to mail it to. That way i know what's coming and from who, so that nobody gets left out if you'd like to send something.

really nice idea! its always great to get a box of goodies when you're not feeling great... i'd love to be in, but a little difficult from here... unless you did an e-card?? i'd do a mix-tape style cd or something (with maybe some interesting australian bits and pieces on it) but it'd take ages to get over your way this time of year  :'(
