Louisville Doc soundtrack features MMJ

Today at 7:30 p.m., Louisville native Roy Germano will screen his documentary film "The Other Side of Immigration" at the University of Louisville's Floyd Theater, 2100 S. Floyd St.


The film, shot in rural Mexico, examines the issues behind immigration and the effects on those left behind. My Morning Jacket provides part of the soundtrack.


Germano is on a 13-stop tour to share his work, and his movie was recently named "most original presentation of a current political issue" at a Washington, D.C., film festival.
