Like most Jacket fans I have tons and tons of Jacket material.  I have been wondering for the last week or two what Non-LP tracks are others hooked on?  I don't just mean picking the best studio songs that they have.... maybe 'They Ran' from Asheville, NC in 07 is one of your top picks (if you actually have a recording!?).  I also want you to consider work from Yim Yames, Monsters of Folk (with Jim leading), Mont de Sundua, Hotel Roy, etc...

here are my top 10, in no order.

Twilight - At Dawn/Tennessee Fire Demos
Tyrone - Bonnaroo 08
Across 110th Street - Bonnaroo 08
Careless Whisper - Fillmore NYE 06
I Will Be There When You Die - 2 Meteor Session
They Ran - iTunes Live from Las Vegas At The Palms - EP
Weeks Go By Like Days - Ch 1
Where to Begin - Okonokos - Acoustic Chorale
By My Car - Club Lek, VPRO Studio Amstel on 01.26.00
Can You See the Hard Helmet on My Head - Chocolate and Ice

The DARK

I should go ahead and say that your guidelines are pretty generous. Throwing MOF and unofficial recordings in there, I could come up with more than 50 that I love to death.

Sooner/Where to Begin/Strangulation- Acoustic Chorale
Rocket Man- Planetarium Show 2001
How Could I Know?- Off the Record Single
His Master's Voice- Monsters of Folk
Cobra- Chocolate and Ice
Steam Engine- Bonnaroo 2004
Come Closer- Split EP
It Makes No Difference- Endless Highway

(Honorable Mention: Lil Billy- TF and AD Demos)

God, I've only scratched the surface. I only occasionally listen to the actual albums these days... the true beauty of MMJ is in their rarities.
In another time, in another place, in another face

I can't pick anymore. It's too difficult.
