What did you use for recording equipment and software?  I'm just starting out and don't play for shit, but working with freeware and a QChord http://johnnyyac.tripod.com/.  Just having fun.  Would love to try some multi track recordings.

Thanks, really appreciate the kind words. I actually only used garageband on my mac, and the built-in mic.
