It's really no big deal, I was just hoping we could all unwrap it together.  I was thinking you might actually be able to see the magic in the air on Tuesday morning from all of the smiles and chills being unleashed across the globe.

I got chills just reading that :)

No leaky listening here.  I'm waiting for le vinyl. :D
My jacket's gonna be cut slim and checked

TheBigChicken

Hell , I thought it was already out. Where have I been :-?
the fruit bats love makin' made all the kids cry

Sticky Icky Green Stuff

I have begun the illegal pleasure of listening.  mmmm.  good stuff.

Sticky Icky Green Stuff

alright folks, you won't be disappointed with this release.  I thought I'd be overwhelmed by too much conor, but it's really well balanced.  without saying too much and spoiling the fun all I'll say is M Ward really has some great moments on this.  It seems like it gives him a chance to rock out a little hard than he usually does.

This album is a head nodding album.  bob your head yo, that's what's up.

a success.

Sticky Icky Green Stuff

oh and Magic Maker say what? awesome song.

Sticky Icky Green Stuff

oh yeah and "His Master's Voice" is the bomb snap pop.

Shepardspy

I not going to say anything to ruin the songs, but fuck Merriweather Post Pavilion, this is the album of the year.  I enjoy MMP for sounding cool and sounding like the future of music, but I love the best of what's around now.

Ghosts_on_TV

I caved.  :(

Jesus Christ this album is amazing.
Some girls mothers are bigger than others girls mothers...

Ghosts_on_TV

I really really hope this album shuts the Conor haters right the fuck up.

the best parts of 'dear god' are jim's intro and conor's verse. that's perfect music for his 'singing'...
but come on...there's nothing sexy about poop. Nothing.  -bbill

This is my favorite song so far.

ALady

I'll give it another listen but right now, really not digging it.   :-/  Ah well.
if it falls apart or makes us millionaires

Shepardspy

If you're not diggin it I highly recommend sitting down in a quiet place with your best audio equipment.  The production on this album is amazing.

el_chode

I noticed on the latest email "Yim Yames" is also on this album
I'm surrounded by assholes

ALady

I don't really care for M. Ward or Conor Oberst, so I think that's affecting my appreciation of the record.  I'm not particularly impressed by Yim's songs either, but I'll come back to it.

I never got into Oberst's stuff but I appreciate what he does. I initially got soured by what to me seemed like a borderline emo-trying-to-escape-emodom plus his legions of emo-esqe fans.

In all honesty though, I didn't really even key in on the vocals so much as the musical production. Jim's voice sounded stellar, but I'm biased. I think the balance worked between his style of musicianship and everyone elses and it came together quite well.

Definitely lives up to the hype in my book, and here in NYC-area it's been hyped quite a bit on WRXP

WRXP is the only station I can tolerate. I hope Pinfield gets the guys in the studio for an interview.
