I was approached by the band to help throw a spotlight on MMJ's debut and the fruits of a great chat with Tom Blankenship were published today. The piece includes a track-by-track commentary for the whole album with lots of fun tidbits in it for hardcore fans. Hope y'all dig...

These guys have been in my Top 10 bands to write about and work with since I first talked with Jim in 2004.  They inspire me and make me want to do my best as a music writer for them.

Will hopefully be doing a similar piece with Tom for my own blog, Dirty Impound, in November or December on It Still Moves.  In the meantime, you rock 'n' roll children are welcome to dig around the site. You might find some things you like...

Thanks for this link...I never would have found it. But like many insightful things I have read about this band, my perception of their "vibe" and character has been transformed in a great way by your interview.

TF has always been the album I go back to when I need MMJ life-support, and this interview clarifies why.

By the way, Tom's comment that "I Think I'm Going To Hell" is a Halloween song supremely boosts my confidence that it will be played at Voodoo this year.  [smiley=dankk2.gif]
