I still get that tingle when I see the boys making their mark 'round the world. I think it's interesting to see what different media outlets in different parts of the world have to say as MMJ earn the recognition they deserve. Here are a couple of things I came across recently:

*Discussing the disappointments of Field Day, _Entertainment Weekly_ found the diamond in the rough:

"...My Morning Jacket--who look like Megadeth but sound like Mercury Rev--wowed the faithful and members of Blur (seen listening backstage). Bright Eyes, who described MMJ's performance as "pretty much the s---," gave a typically searing set."

*In _Kentucky Monthly_'s "Kentucky's Best" poll for 2003, MMJ were runners-up for Best Music Artist or Group (behind, uh, Montgomery Gentry). An amusing side note (and perhaps consolation for coming in 2nd to Montgomery Gentry): they were listed as "The Morning Jackets." [You think they're going to make that mistake again next year? I don't think so. ;)]
