I know greggy.  I'm also still waiting for an answer. But try to have patience and if this doesn't work out, follow an anger therapy  ;) twkink twink

Agreed. But this has been going for a couple of weeks lfish, and the non-response is the crux of the issue for me.

non response from whom?  i see 6 pages of responses here, with cc baxter chiming in with what he knows.

i implore you to try and put it into perspective.  again, why be pissed?  why?  a show was cancelled.  yes, a special show that everyone made special plans for...but a little understanding is in order here folks.  please, try to understand.  scheduling conflicts happen.  explanations seem to be in order here-starting with the gospel spoken by brother cc baxter.  is that not enough?

I don't agree with you John.
Let's leave it at that.

Why don't you email management instead of complaining to each other?  Perhaps no one knows you all feel so desperate and deserving of explanations.  There are contact emails for everyone on this website the last time I checked.

I do not disagree that it would be kind for them to issue a statement of some sort but in the end, they are not responsible for how I feel and as they do not know me personally, I don't feel like they owe me anything.  I am just glad that they tour and put out music as often as they do.  We ought to be thankful for such things instead of whining like children which I doubt any of us are.

Hey man, it's all good and we're brothers and sisters here.  We can and do disagree on things.  That's cool, there is no love loss or bad blood or anything of the sort.  We're all passionate about the music, and I understand completely why everyone feels so strongly.

Whatever, man.

In 2002, I drove 7 hours to Pittsburgh to see 'em open for Guided by Voices.

I got the venue to find a handwritten sign on the door that read "show cancelled, pollard threw out his back".  I was certainly not happy about that.

But I don't remember bitching about it being cancelled here, not for 7 pages of responses on how I got slighted and insulted by no explanation here on the site as to why the show was cancelled when MMJ were perfectly able to play.  I said "fuck it" and moved on.

So now, I'm saying "fuck it" and moving on.  I've tried my best, really I did.  But I get the feeling that you aren't satisfied with anything anyone says on this topic, so I give, you win.  In the name of keeping it civil here, I cry uncle.

Mike M, if you're reading this, can we send this guy some guest passes for the next round of touring?

QuoteIt used be more than that JC. Much more, that's why this has provoked such a degree of passion.

I can't help but love that. And well, the thing that bothers me is that they seem to be giving priorities to America: the touring, the accoustic EP that I still haven't been able to find in Holland... And yeah, I think that sucks. But alright, let's move on. Hey, I just watched an incredibly good Klezmer-band yesterday here in Berlin, so what am I bitching about anyway?

How did it go in Berlin, O? I trust you had a cool time  8)

I have to disagree about MMJ giving priority to the US in regard to the new acoustic EP. In all due respect, I seem to recall having a heck of a time finding the Heartbreakin' Man EP, Sweetbees EP, Bad Jazz 7", Gold Hole 7" and Just Because I Do 7", all European releases I had to get from either ebay or Ger Potze in Holland (thanks Ger by the way).

O, If you're really having a hard time finding the new acoustic EP, let me know and I will pick one up and send it across the pond to you...Cheers.

O dude--shoot me an address in a im and I'll send you a copy of Acoustic Citsuoca FOC.  No one should have to go without this (especially not a huge fan likes u)
Sittin' here with me and mine.  All wrapped up in a bottle of wine.

You're welcome Kevin, still glad I could help  8)

As for the Acoustic Citsuoca EP, it might not be available over here in Holland, but with a creditcard it's so damn easy to get it in the mail. I ordered my copy at a store in Vancouver for 6.49 Canadian dollars excl. shipping (I ordered three other CD's there, and shipping was 'only' 12.95 Canadian), and I ordered the vinyl version (with extra track as you all know!) straight from Badman - well that was a little more expensive, including shipping 17.99 US dollars, but hey with the current exchange rates I don't complain, and I now have the extra track, and the larger sleeve and the red vinyl!  :D

Yeah - and without one, it's not.  :(

I'm gonna check this record store over here one more time and if they still don't have the vinyl version, I'll mail you, Kevin, thanks! Oh, and MMJ_fanatic, thanks as well, but I think it'd be rude to pass out on Kevin, him being the first to offer and all. :)

O, just let me know. The record store across the street from my house has the CD and the vinyl (which has a bonus track not included on CD) $5.99 and $10.99 USD (CD/Vinyl)...

Magnix

QuoteYeah - and without one, it's not.  :(
Absolutely right! But it's almost impossible to collect without one. If I didn't have one, I would have had to skip a lot of interesting stuff through the years. Not to mention how easy it is to have one when travelling.

Anyhow, good to see a copy will go O's way! However, if this happens again, just drop me a line O (and maybe others over here in good old The Netherlands without a creditcard ;-)), and I'll order an extra copy.
