Apparently, they are doing it again.  This time they are completely leaving out the East Coast.  Bastards!  I hope MMJ comes back in the fall.

The_Link

To see the dates, go to Pitchfork.  It is on their newspage.  Maybe they will add some East Coast dates.

Yeah, taxes suck, but so does Bush.  George that is.  I love all other Bush including the beer.  Rock the vote.

is it jim playing with bright eyes, or jim opening for bright eyes, i hate bright eyes and i really don't want to waste money if it's gonna be jim just playing guitar with them or something, i'd rather just see jim and leave.

it's one big mix. jim, m.ward and bright eyes take turns, playing their own songs, often backed by the others and they're doin things together too.

aw, c'mon...sounds like a great show.  stay for the whole thing!

well i guess i'll have to if there's no specific times jim will be playing the my morning jacket stuff. i can't stand that though man. same thing happened when I saw nada surf last. opened for death cab for cutie, there for, i paid $15, drove 2 hours and only got to see 5 songs. i was so pissed. and i left. i hate death cab for cutie too. i just don't dig the whole "i'm so indie and sad, cry with me" scene. i wish jim wasn't playing with bright eyes.

I feel your pain my brother--but look on the bright side:  M Ward is great to watch so you'll only suffer for 1/3 of the show.

i hate bright eyes too, but this is a good show.  saw it last time around and was very impressed.  they actually let jim do most of the singing for obvious reasons.  check it out.  wish they were back up here in the NE.  oh well.

BeatTheDiese

how much mmj material was played on average the last time?

Here's what I think, for what it's worth - DUDE!  You have the opportunity to see the Jim James!  You should GO.  You can always bring heavy duty earplugs, or a walkman or one of those mp3 player things filled up to the brim with My Morning Jacket for the horrible episodes that you may be exposed to that involve Bright Eyes.

But I would think it would be worth it to see him regardless.   :)  You should go just for all of us on the Eastern side who can't.

And for all of those outside the US. I'm not really a Bright Eyes fan either, but I would go anyway just to see Jim and how the collaboration works out.

Talking 'bout hearing this collaboration, it seems there still hasn't surfaced a complete recording of one of the shows from last February, only a few MP3 and movie snippets!?

MMJ_fanatic

Definitely!  I had a great time even though Bright Eyes does little for me.  Plus the 1st group of shows introduced me to that great guy known as m ward!  go go go!
