Bright Eyes and Friends: An Evening of Solo & Collaborative Performances Featuring Bright Eyes, Jim James of "My Morning Jacket", and M. Ward.

Thanks a lot to Todd for taping. This is a great show with decent sound quality. The majority of M. Ward's set was not taped but everything else is there.

this show was the best of the New England group, imo, Lupos is even better in their new building.  this should sound awesome!
Sittin' here with me and mine.  All wrapped up in a bottle of wine.

FINALLY a (full - well at least the JJ part) recording of this collaboration surfaces. Thanks a lot, I'll start the download right away!

I hope you guys like it! Does anybody know the origins of the song "I Can't Wait"? I'm not even sure if that's the real name of the song. Is it a new song or a cover? Any help would be appreciated.

my sources say it has a (possible) working title of "How Could I Know?" hoping it is on the next disc :D

Isn't "How Could I Know" also known as Oxen? The song I'm talking about is track 7 of disc 1. Although I do love the tune Oxen, I heard it here in Toronto when MMJ was in town.

sorry,
haven't totally figured out the whole bit torrent conversion thing--any pointers kidsmoke?

"I Can't Wait" is a different song than "How Could I Know" or "How Can I Know" a.k.a "Oxen". I haven't had time yet to listen to the just torrented recording, but a song I called "I Can't Wait Anymore" has been played by Jim solo before on at least two occasions: December 20, 2002 @ WFPK's "Live Lunch", WFPK 91.9FM, Louisville, KY and February 4, 2003 @ Upstairs at The Garage, London, England'.
I'm not sure about the title either and I also don't know if it's a new song or a cover. I have performed several Google searches with parts of the lyrics, but haven't found it, so my guess currently is that it's a new song. I will have a listen to this new recording as soon as possible ...

All above information can be found through the My Morning Jacket Showfinder at http://www.gerpotze.com/mymorningjacket/mmjsearch.htm

"How Could I Have known" a.k.a. "How Can I Know" a.k.a. "How Could I Know", but best known as "Oxen", as that is how it appears on the stage setlists, is a totally different song than "I Can't Wait (Anymore)" as played on the Bright Eyes collaboration show and the shows mentioned in my previous post!

On the first the chorus is "How Can/Could I Know", while on the latter the chorus (just guess) "I Can't Wait, I Can't Wait Anymore".

Definitely.

Yeah that's the song I'm talking about. I also googled some lyrics, but like you found nothing. I guess it's just an unreleased song.
