Quotehow in the hell did you get lost in downtown lexington?  haha, jk but it's so small.  downtown louisville, on the other hand is much more convoluted.  it is a bigger city so more "ghettoness" is to be expected.  lexington does have its share of unsafe areas but it's only in the area north of main st.  (short street - new circle road).  but i wouldnt expect you to get murdered or anything like that in either city.  but i've been lost downtown in louisville and was literally chased around a taco bell by a guy wanting money.  a little off the subject, but cincinnatti is probably one of the worst cities in terms of urban plight in this area.  walk around downtown there and see how much you get "bothered"

haha, it was when I first moved to Lexington.  I saw a cop and asked for directions on how to get back to main st.   He said " you really shouldn't be driving around this neighborhood"

Yeah, every city is going to have  good sides and bad sides.

Heck, my parents still live in Louisville in a very , very nice neighborhood and my mom told me they made a drug bust at the house across the street from her.

You have good and bad people everywhere.

The wind rose up set him down on his knee.
A wave came crashing like a fist to the jaw.

Quotedrugs are bad.

that's news to me.  I have a drug dealer across the street from me too, it's called CVS.  They're all over the place here in Louisville.

well drugs arent bad.  if it werent for drugs, there would be no good music (grateful dead, phish for example).  therefore, drugs are cool!

if it werent for drugs, no one would think their music is any good!

EC

(just need to say that a LOT of good music is made without drugs.  I don't have a problem with drugs.  I like drugs.  But some people don't need drugs.  And others think they do. )
(also, ba, I hope you didn't think I was dissing you with my words in quotations - that was all me doing that myself, as opposed to mocking or anything. :))
Back to the Louisville show.

Who's excited?  :)

ba

well, the GD and phish do feature two of the best guitartist, IMO, ever to pick up the instrument.  i dont need drugs to enjoy hearing those sounds they make that are so kind to my ears.  although, like charlie daniels once said, once in a while, "i will take another toke" and that takes their music to another level.  im at a loss trying to think of a band that i really like that doesnt toke it up everynow and then (not sure about the jacket, but they are pretty weird..haha).  but EC i looked at what i said and i guess it did seem a little condescending, although i didnt mean it to be.  and im pretty pumped about the show, especially since it's in l'ville and it's the last show of the tour.  im expecting some crazy theatrics.

ratsprayer

im with you, i cant think of any musicians that dont at least toke it up, but thats an iffy if its a drug or not, at least in my eyes.  id say you could place yr money on the jacket being tokers, and you wouldnt lose a cent on that.

peanut butter puddin surprise

say, is there some kind of hoe down before the show?
Runnin' from somethin' that isn't there

Can we start a petition or something to have the Louisville Palace showed taped for this DVD project?  Sounds like with all the "talkers" and non-dresser-uppers out in SF, they need to give this another shot...to a crowd more loyal to the Jacket's cause.  What do YOU think?

i see what youre saying about the loyalty and the fact it'd be in louisville, but the fact its a seated theatre would take away from the dynamic of things.  i know most people would be wild out of their seats, but do you know what i mean?

Unfortunatly I know exactly what you are talking about.  It will still be a beautiful evening of music, but a large part of me wishes this show was one of those sweaty pits of love and smiles.  As for the dvd project, if they are going to do a live show I hope they just pick one night and play it all the way through.  I'm not a big fan of live dvd's that switch venues throughout the course of the songs.

the palace is fucking beautiful, dont get me wrong.  it would just be great to see movement, crunk units, bumping and grinding, maybe even a camel toe.  wot a dvd that would be!

yeah, there's gonna be a hoe down. before the show, during the show, during the bathroom breaks, in the beer line ( assuming there is one), when the lights go on, when i streak the stage, in the balcony, on the floor, in my vomit, on my vomit, around my gyrating ass, after the concert and up until the sun goes up.

christ people, it's homecoming for THE JACKET. i demand we all get shitty and blind this band with our collective energy. only then will the universe be aligned, joyful, and harmonious...only then.

I also demand two sets, an encore, midget wrestling, free beer, and beautiful women.  beautiful women, you may have me! hahahahahahahahhaha

tell the band they must meet my demands but i will settle for whatever they gimme.

ooooooooooooooooooooow beotches, GET PUMPED UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
