i just found the MMJ show at the 9:30 Club in DC on 8.16.02 at eMusic.  eMusic is a new MP3 site that has mostly indie music.  you can pay 19.99 a month and get 90 downloads (they have different plans but this seems to be the best)...and right now they are doing 25 free download trial.  anyway i downloaded this show.  the setlist is pretty good:

1. Suspicious Minds (Elvis cover)
2. The Way That He Sings
3. Heartbreakin' Man
4. The Bear
5. Just Because I Do
6. XMas Curtain
7. One Big Holiday
8. Phone Went West

get it for free and the quality is great!

i understand the concept of the 25 free downloads, but i cant really support the idea of paying for live music unless its an officially sanctioned bonnaroo set, or some sort of offical release.  i know in the san fran area, they have a group called the bayarearecorders or something like that who tape shows and sell them immediately after the show for offical release.  unless its something like that here with the 930 club show, i call party foul.

QuoteNow how do I get it free?

ha ha!

just go to the site...and register for it...they ask you for your credit card b/c they want to "verify" you aren't a member already, but we all know they will start charging you after you get your 25 free downloads...so if you don't want that cancel!!!
