Okay, I tried to get this done before, but it didn't really happen, so let's try it again.

I know a good deal of use here will be at Bonnaroo, and i think we should meet up, bring our instruments or beer or whatever and just hang out and have some fun gettin to know our friends from cyberspace (now if that wasn't stalker-ish, i don't knwo what is). but yeah, seriously, i think it'd kick ass if we all got to meet eachother, attach names to faces and just have a big gathering with a bunch of people who understand eachothers' sense of music. I mean, imagine thirty people who've cried along to steam engine all within the vicinity of each other, it'd be awesome.

so i'm thinkin we should either meet up in nashville and all go in together, or we need to get our phone numbers around to eachother so we can find eachother and get this thing happening.

any good ideas for this, Meg?

i think you should decide before you go.  last year was craziness, cell phones were impossible, bonnaroo is its own universe and things like that can be hard.  maybe just pick a meeting place, like the bobble heads, and everybody look for tom (who is very tall and will probably have a beard) and then you can figure it out from there...

oh bonnaroo.  you yummy festival of wonderfulness.

TEO

You know I'm in! Bobble head meet up directly after the show is an idea, but I'm real easy and will go along w/anything that a guy who writes the setlist on a T-shirt as THE BAND plays says.

 ;D

in that case, i say we wait until we get a good boring chunk of time on saturday. if the jacket is playing somewhere besides sunday afternoon, then we'll meet up after that, but i have to get back to nashville on sunday night. unless radiohead is playing. or the jacket, for that matter.

bobbleheads sounds like a good spot for meetin up. and i will most certainly be sportin a mean two and a half month beard at that point.

FUCK IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I'm in, and I mean it, I just have to make it happen.  My plan is to go ahead and stop smokeing afterwards (ciggarets).  This way I can justify it in my head that I'm actually saving my own life by going to Bonnarroo this year.  I simply can't miss it, it's become the new fourth of July for my head and I must celebrate it every year until the day I die.  It's Independece day, it's the AMERICAN revolution, It's the dawn, the death of the civil war day......except it's an entire weekend.  One that I plan on being there for.  See you there self.  I'm fucked up right now, but I must remember how I feel at this moment......and make it happen.  Remember Brian....YOU WILL be at bonnaroo this year, MAKE IT HAPPEN.....and meet your lovely friends Tom, Megan and TEO and who ever else shows up.  Ok, Time to rest.

(i'm not in, sweetheart...  i'm not officially out, either.  just so you know.)

so how do you feel today ?  ;)

I say we try to meet up on Saturday morning or Thursday night before it gets extremely packed. Saturday looks to be a pretty busy day (for me at least) as Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Buddy Guy, Beck, and Radiohead are all playing on that day.

Oh and there have been rumors floating around the internet about The Jacket playing a late night set!  Even though it's unlikely, i still think it would be pretty cool to see the Jacket at 2am.

i'm SO jealous of you guys... i would freak to see all these bands, i can get the money together to make it happen, and my husband actually said we should go. the problem? i'm such a freakin' pansy that i can't fathom using a portable potty, sleeping in a tent, doing anything that may expose me to animals with more than four legs, and lack of air conditioning. but i'm not like, paris hilton-spoiled, i'm just super-bitchy when i feel unclean or uncomfortable...  :-/
i'm so ashamed. my idea of a great festival would be to sleep at a nice hotel every night and go to the grounds in the morning. is that even possible? i just don't camp, just don't...  :-X
everything sucks. really.

actually i'm pretty sure they sell Bonnaroo hotel packages.

wellfleet-I did the tent thing last year w/fireworks going off until dawn. Decided to rent an rv this year and it should be about 1000% better! Please go to Bonnaroo sometime, but take my advice, go in an rv. It can be pretty rough if not accustomed to camping.

wellfleet, here's the thing:  you should go.
there weren't a lot of bugs there that i noticed.  the no showers sucks, i'll be honest with you.  the portapotties, where inconvenient, are not so bad.  for real.  there is always one close by, the lineups aren't too bad, it's a rare occasion when you run out of tp and if you do, everybody helps.  they're cleaned out at least once a day.

from what i've heard, the hotels that are close by aren't super cool.  mouldy and stuff.

an rv is for sure the best option, but it's really not so bad to camp.  now, the friend i went with last year had a very hard time dealing with all of the weirdnesses.  BUT she is not a music nerd like me, so it was like, a little crappy for her.  BUT, it was only the camping part.  the rest she liked.

oh lord i would be there in a second if i were you, ms. wellfleet.  honest.  you should go.

the actual set times are still uncertain, but alot of the bands have confirmed what day they are playing on their website, and some have been posted on pollstar.

This page has alot of them
