Summer / Fall Theories ?

My guess is that there will be at least a short run somewhere in the states after they've had a few weeks to rest after returning from overseas. The DVD and live CD should be out by then (I don't remember the date off the top of my head), so my guess is that they'll be out promoting it at least for a month or so.

I saw DBT at the Tabernacle last Thanksgiving.  At first we grabbed a seat up in the balcony stage right.  The sound was TERRIBLE.  We got tired of the sound, the view, and the hippies who decided to park in front of us and moved down to the back of the floor.  The sound at the back of the floor was perfect.  I guess you just need to choose your spot wisely.

I think my experience with the Tabernacle was similar to echoes'.  We started in the center of the middle balcony, but my wife wanted to get down on the floor closer to the stage.  I did notice that the sound was better on the floor, but I do not remember the sound being particularly bad from the balcony.   Sound issues aside, it was a neat place to see a show.

i'm thinking about a month or month and a half in the US after europe and they will probably play a few bigger venues this time too!

At some point, I hope they play a 3-5 night run in Louisville ~and all the fans from this forum/board would be able to attend!!

good God...that would be epic...just playing different venues in Louisville for a week...that is a great idea and sounds like it would be right up their alley!!!

I'm hoping for a visit (or more) in Scandinavia aswell as they visit Europe now in summer. Or at least they could come here in the fall.

still have my fingers & toes crossed for an australian tour... i'd pretty much be keen to even travel around to get a couple of shows in, although i'm guessing they'd only play melbourne & sydney? there are some great venues here in melbourne that would suit them down to the ground - the forum, the corner, but the best venue would be the northcote social club (or my living room, i'd be happy with either :) )

summer in oz, what could be a better time to tour??

How about just going into the studio and recording......all the concerts, DVD, live CDs don't thrill me anywhere near the excitement of a new studio album. Looks like I'm alone in this.

no you definitely aren't alone, but Jim has said they won't record a new album until late 2007 or early 2008, but here's to hoping they get the bug and do it sooner!
