Ok, I've been an MMJ fan for quite a while now, but I have never seen them live.  I am going to be in Columbus, OH on Dec. 4th.  How far of a drive would it be to the Cleveland show that same night and do you guys think it would be worth the drive for a first show.  Any other board members going to that show?
If you don't know for yourself, how could you ever know for me....

I can only forgive you for even asking this question because you haven't seen them yet, and thus have no idea what you'd be missing.

 ;)

If you're able to make the drive without passing out at the wheel, I say go for it, no matter the distance.

Approx. 2.5 hours from Columbus to Cleveland - Oh my..that's nothing.  After seeing this show, you'd do it again the next day if you could.

You. Must. See. Them. Live.

Cleveland is going to be my first show, too!  Can't wait!!  ;D

Honestly, if you've never seen My Morning Jacket live, then you don't really understand how good they are.

I too am going to to my first MMJ show in cleveland.  I'm coming from Pittsburgh, 2 hour drive I hear. Can't wait! Got my tickets I'm set.
That's motherfuckin' John Oates!

I'm from pittsburgh as well and to me it is a no brainer. I drove to see them last year when they came to the house of blues in cleveland...AMAZING SHOW. It sucks they don't come to pittsburgh but a two hour drive really is nothing, so i guess I can't complain, it could be worse. DO NOT pass up this chance, they are an amazing band and until you see them live you're still on "the other side". I liked the band at first listen and dug them, they were pretty cool, but when i saw them live in concert i was forever changed and mystified for lack of a better term.  Get yer tickets right now

I've gotten floor general admission tickets.  Anyone know how early i'll need to get there to get a good view?  How is the venue there?  Is it better to have balcony seats?

Also, anyone ever done the "pass the line" options with dinner reservations?

I'm getting balcony seats because the sound at the House of Blues is crap if you're not up front and I don't feel like dealing with "being up front."

Go, get there early, and park your ass right in front of the stage.  You will be permanently damged for the better.  TRUST ME!
Sittin' here with me and mine.  All wrapped up in a bottle of wine.
