You'll get updates from time to time about cool shit. The people that are hosting the listening parties found out about them through the Buddy System. You get and e-mail, then have to respond to it to sign up, etc...

I have also signed up long time ago, got e-mails for awhile then they all stopped. Havent gotten an e-mail probably for almost a year.

Usually they contact you to see if you're into doing promo work for show(s) in your area. If so, you get a package of posters to place in music stores, etc. and they provide a ticket to the show. Lately this hasn't happened as much it seems...and you also get inside info on the pre-release activities (like the OKONOKOS parties). You can also access direct ticket sales when they are available.
