      Blaine, et al,
I had never heard it - not to say that it's a first, and I don't collect all of the shows.  Hell, if they're doing Sweetheart, they may as well break out Hard Helmet, right!?

As perfect as Friday night was, save for not getting off work until 7:30pm and my date getting sprayed right in the face by the guy donating his beer during One Big Holiday to all those around, Steam Engine was on the setlist for the enchore.

If they had played it, I might not even drive to Austin today, just because that's how good that show was.

Did any of ya'll meet up before the show at Taco Sol. I ate there late night after hanging out at Adairs for a while.

Dead on the beach,

I have never used this term before, but, opening with THE DARK is, well

S I C K
what a way to start the crowd moving.

I am rarely jealous, but, I am jealous.
(I told my wife Jim would be ranting about the Reunion Tower whilst in Dallas.)

JohnnyRage

Blaine, you originally weren't going to the Fri Dallas show, just passing through on your way to Austin, right?

Wow, the "Man" trilogy.  Pearl Jam does that with Betterman, Nothingman, and Leatherman.  By the way I think we should give Pearl Jam at least some credit for MMJ's longer and more varied sets this tour.  Pearl Jam are the masters of this and I can't help but think some of it rubbed off on the boys.
There's Still Time.........

i'm seriously really digging these setlists this tour.  they're pullin out all sorts of great songs and mixing up the opener and the early songs.

i still hope they start mixing up the encores a bit more though.  throw mahgeetah and anytime midset and maybe close with some new songs, OBH, PWW, Steam Engine.

glad to see Heartbreakin Man back! and Sweetheart, wow.

What was sick is the fact that the house music busted out "Louisville... Louisiville" by Louisville's own Get Down Click.  When I was in school this was UofL W Volleyball's theme song.
That was a great two nights of shows.  So glad they decided to double us up.

off to austin !!

OMG! so much candy from The Tennessee Fire record. I so can see why it was sick and a brilliant show. And you're only making me even more depressed about that there aren't tourdates booked for them over here in Europe yet again!!!

I'm dying to see them! Please, let it be soon...

I'll be in Scotland for spring semester!

I WOULD LOVE ANOTHER EURO TOUR IN FEBRUARY, MARCH, OR APRIL!

what the heck happened during dondante?  no sax solo as something went all crazy.  i think jim was soloing or something.

where was that beer spray incident?  to the right of the stage 20 feet back or so.  i think that may have been me.....what a jackass i am.

JohnnyRage

you absolutely would know if you were the jackass. No mistaking it. But if if was you, no big deal, i got a laugh out of seeing my date with beer all over her face, haha.

Yeah, super different ending to Dondante with no sax. Jim just took over and weirded out for about 3-5min. Pretty cool.

I would certainly echo the comments about Friday's show.  Amazing.  We went on Thursday night and loved it.  It was far less crowded which made it nice.  When tickets for Friday became available on Friday morning, we decided to go again.  Good decision.

My personal favorite was Heartbreakin' Man.  I haven't heard them play it since I saw them open for the Doves a few years ago.  That was my introduction to them.

This was my second Jacket show and WOW!  It was indeed sick.  I went apeshit whenever the band walked out and Pat started doing that little noodling on the ride cymbal, I looked over at my buddy and screamed "It's called the dark, bitch!"  The setlist was amazing, I can't believe I seen Honest Man and Phone Went West.  All I need now is Rollin' Back for absolute atonement.  Maybe Monday in St. Louis.
I'm ready for it now!

alright sleezy, you'll be in St. Louis!  I will be there with you hoping for some Rollin' Back myself!
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.
