I'll try to make this a short story. I went to Lebowski Fest this past Saturday in Louisville. I had heard that Jim James was supposed to be sitting in with a band called Follow the Train during the Garden Party. Unfortunately, it didn't happen, someone told me he was in New York or something like that. Anyway, later that night at the after party, I was in line to get a beer on the hotel bar. I was not paying much attention, but all the sudden the guy in front of me turned around and it was Jim. He was really cool and didn't seem to mind taking a few seconds to shake hands, chat and snap a picture with a dopey starstruck fan like me. The picture is on my phone and I don't know how to transfer it to my PC, otherwise I'd post it. Sorry it's not a more exciting story, but I thought everyone here might appreciate it.

Sweet.  Love those stories.
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

Jim sang on one of the songs on the new Follow That Train record.

But seein you feels good, and its always understood.
That anything much sweeter would make me die.

Oh it was! I thought he would certainly doff the white bathrobe with a tire-track running across it (hot as it was) but JJ kept it on the entire show. He also went down on his knees, with back to audience, and seemingly went into a trance with his guitar (during Cobra? I was not even that familiar with their catalogue at the time). It was spellbinding to say the least! Since then I have taken to wearing V neck T-shirts.  :)

Lebowski Fest was my first MMJ show as well. I listen to that show all the time. I really like the version of The Man In Me. I forgot to mention, Patrick the drummer was also at Lebowski Fest but I didn't get to meet him. Apparently someone else ran into Jim at Lebowski Fest as well. I found a picture on Flickr of Jim James with some girl at Lebowski Fest, but now I can't find the pic again.

God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

Maybe that was all that was available at the time,  and if he's anything like some of the guys I know, he might've complained about the brand but still had some anyway "'cos it's free."  :D ::)

Anyway, I agree those are cool pics!  :D

(I'm glad though Jim posed with a more normal looking woman, rather than the Snow Bunnies, like some rockstars (or wannbes, like Dude) would.  ::))
