I just read this thread and no one said that was a who song or a hendrix song

I don't really know that anyone needed to mention the original artists. I thought everyone knew who did A Quick One and Lovin' Cup. Who cares? Rarely does a cover beat an original no matter who covers it, including MMJ.

I second that!  HOO! HOO!
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

The Janes one is surely better than the GNR version.

A great rendition. The best is still the original. It stands the test of time. I think it embodies everything the Stones were/are about.

How well do you know Hendrix? It's Jimi by the way.

I haven't heard the Jacket's version yet, but my favourite version is the original.  Phish did a great cover too. MMJ don't crack my Top 10 favourite bands, but they are one of my favourites of the last 5 years or so.
Yeah.. Phish's cover is great

hmm....well.....apparently the two people who posted that it was a Who song, and a Jimi song didn't know that.   Was just trying to pass on some info.  I love how everyone on message boards instantly become cocky and arrogant.  Sorry for sharing.....carry on.

OK, my mistake, I guess I misunderstood what people had posted.  Sorry!
