setlist structure

Was just wondering what others think. Have seen 6 or 7 MMJ shows in the past couple of years. They are simply one of my favorite bands of all time.

Is anyone else looking for the band to continue adjusting their setlists more on a nightly basis? There is a such a catalog of songs that are not getting treated in the live setting on these last two tours. Yes, they change some things up here and there but here's to hoping that the band will continue to delve deeper into their catalog more frequently and vary the setlist more significantly from night to night.

I think on the last couple of tours they have made gigantic strides in this area.  You have to remember that Bo and Carl joined the band after It Still Moves had already been recorded.  The shows have gotten much longer in the last year and they have brought back a large amount of old songs.  To answer the question, YES I hope they continue to play longer, vary the setlist, and bring back even more old songs.  I also hope they start selling bootlegs of each show through their website.

I don't know what they will do after the next few albums. There will be so many good songs in their catalogue that they will have to ditch live.  :'(

i like to compare them to the dead in their show style.  The Dead never lost touch with their true fans, and nor will MMJ.  They will forever play The Bear, Sooner and on special nights like NYE or Bonaroo they will even play Cobra, They Ran and Evelyn Is Not Real.  

Remember NYE is 3 days now...that means a shit ton of songs.  That means we may just have to wait until the last night to hear One Big Holiday.  Just like the fans would have to wait until the last night of dead shows to hear China Cat.  "Are they going to play it?"

They're just building an empire.
