It is possible.  But I kind of don't belive.  We can only hope that if it is true they get a longer spot than last year.

Reverend ToneZone

I hope it is true especially because they're not playing the Roo this year!
None of this is physical . . . at least not to me.

Hot DAMN!!!!  I have to find a way to go.  Silversun Pickups!!!!  The only thing that could make this any better is if Explosions In The Sky were playing.  I would much rather go to this than Bonnaroo.
There's Still Time.........

How long is a Lollapalooza set in comparison to a Bonnaroo set?  I often have wondered this when looking at the lineup.  I've heard the sets are shorter.  The lineup for Lolla LOOKS far superior to that of the Roo, but at the same time, I'd hate to only get a 30-40 min set from all those awesome bands.

REALLY wish I could go even if MMJ only played a 10 minute set.  They're that good.  Hehe.

Does anyone know at what point last year they started selling one day tickets?
i kinda think right now is a pretty good time to just sit down and sing people some mother-fuckin songs

OK...now I've gotta find a way to get my friends to sell our tix to the Eric Clapton guitar-god festival, so that we can go to this!!!  Ya mon!  I've been wanting to get to this fest and PJ and MMJ seem like good enough reasons to go!

small print:  will likely be looking for new friends to attend lolla with as my current friends will be none-too-pleased with my bailing on the other event.  :'(  :( >:( ;) :)

ahydell

That's enough for me.  Just bought early bird tix.  If 1/2 of the bands listed are true it will be worth it.

looks awesome, i still think Roo has a better lineup, but i will probably end up going to both.

Almost all of Lolla's sets are one hour. Except headliners, they get 90 minutes.
Hold my life until I'm ready to use it

QuoteDoes anyone know at what point last year they started selling one day tickets?

one of the mods over at the lolla forums stated that single day tickets for this year will only be sold if and when the three day passes sell out, early summer at the earliest if that... so to be safe I wouldn't count on them selling single day passes

ChiefOKONO

this is a quote from the talent buyer (AKA guy who gets the bands) from Lollapalooza:

Attal says he is particularly excited about My Morning Jacket, who he calls "his favorite band right now. Muse is also exploding. They just played the Forum in Los Angeles and sold it out."

Charles Attal, president of Charles Attal Presents (with Capital Sports & Entertainment) and talent buyer for Lollapalooza.
If you're lucky, MMJ will fill the void you didn't even know you ever had. If you're luckier, you'll get to see them live.
