This was on the PJ msg board and since they share some common fans thought I would post this if anyone's down.

Ten Club is having a contest to host the party and it may happen.  Check it out.

at worst it may be a good party.

If you're lucky, MMJ will fill the void you didn't even know you ever had. If you're luckier, you'll get to see them live.

I'll tell my sister to go for me since she's just right there.  Damn, if only it was on the weekend and next a weeknight  :(
He made it to the ocean, had a smoke in a tree.
The wind rose up set him down on his knee.
A wave came crashing like a fist to the jaw.

Hey to everyone I met at this gathering.  It was a pleasure sharing the night with MMJ and PJ fans together at one place. So, I am new to MMJ's music but I believe I'm ready to start listening to a bunch of MMJ.  Who wants to help me get started?  Throw me some info on where to start, essential songs, and various facts that only fans know.

Then I'll be able to find out for myself if Patrick and the boys truly bring it ;)

If you are a Pearl Jam fan I would say to buy It Still Moves first, you'll eventually end up with everything they have ever recorded.  Also, in order to get the live feel you should get the Okonokos dvd.
There's Still Time.........

I would also suggest It Still Moves as well, put it on some headsets (ipod/portable cd player/whatever) and find yourself a sucluded outdoor atmosphere somewhere on a nice fall day.  Then go buy another album and repeat.
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.
