If you're lucky, MMJ will fill the void you didn't even know you ever had. If you're luckier, you'll get to see them live.

Hey guys. One last try-

If anyone would be willing to get me two tickets tomorrow (or even one), I will buy yours for you. Sweet deal. You'd get to go for free! I could send the $ through Pay Pal or the mail. Pleeeeeaaase?

I'll be passing through that night on my way to check out IU Bloomington, so I'd love to see the show!!! Not trying to oust any locals, just would LOVE to see jim again before the end of summer when I start paying all my own bills, and can't afford $30 shows anymore. Thanks guys. Maybe I'll pick IU grad so I can be close to these sorts of fabulous Louisville events. :)

hey I'm from cincinnati infrequent poster, but if there is anyway anyone can get me two tickets I would gladly paypal them the money plus an additional 10 bucks...Thanks

aMD

sorry i couldn't help everyone who wanted tickets out.  There was a limit on tickets and my wife and I bought the limit.  They're all called for though.

aMD

also, a word of advice...  the rud is made up of two rooms, the performance space is in a room that holds about 100 people.  That means about half the people who are getting tickets won't be able to actually see the performance.  so get there early if you want to see it.

i was first in line at Ear-X-Tacy yesterday to get tickets to see jim and ron and ron rolled up on his bike and was talking to some of the people waiting for tickets. he said jim wanted to buy the rubyard building but didnt and he still might which is cool. I was wondering is it who ever gets in line first outside of Rudyard that will get to be in the room were the performance will go on because i payed $34 and i want to see jim and ron play. I have never been there before so some advice would be very helpful thanks

jordan

I got my ticket yesterday.  Looking forward to seeing a Jim solo show.

cmccubbin@work

that's crazy about the performance room only holding 100 peeps!

i was under the impression that Ear-X-Tacy opened at 10am, but when i got there at 9:45 it was already opened and the guy told me they opened at 9:30!  anyway...by 9:55 they had sold 68 tickets (including the 4 i bought).

i wonder if this has sold out yet?  it surely will by June 3!

they were suppose to open at 10:00 but the owner decided to go ahead and open the doors so we wouldn't have to wait around so long.

i like that the tickets were hand-numbered...i got 65-68.

I was close, I got numbers 21-28.

btw, curtis, I was going to stick around and wait for you but the missus had other plans.  we're just going to have to meet up for a beer sometime.

cmccubbin@work

ha ha...that's cool.

i looked for you while i was there, but assumed you had already got your tix and split.  they always have other plans/ideas, don't they?

agreed on the beer.

i heard there were only 30 left early sunday. so i bet it's sold out or very close by now.
does anyone know what the set-up will be like? i saw pictures of the place. i assume the tables might be moved out and it'll be standing room rather than dinner and a show?

aMD

The Rud is made up of two large rooms, the bar and the performance space.  The performance space is tiny.  I assume they will take the tables out.  I've never seen them do that but I think they'll have to.  Usually there's only one table in front of the stage and the rest of the seating is on the side (I call that table, btw).  I know a lot of shit about the Rd but not a lot of it applies to this performance because things will be so different.  This used to be one of the easiest bars in louisville to sneak into so I caught a lot of early mmj performances there when I was underage.  I don't think that is going to work this time.

And I quote the Rud's site:

Sun Jun 3  7:00:   World Concert to honor The Rud with Jim James of My Mornng Jacket with appropriate friends plus Sarah Elizabeth  and Ron Whitehead.

Only 208 tickets available for parlor and gazebo seats at The Rudyard.  Tables will be removed; delightful drinks and extraordinary box suppers will be available for you to hold in your lap!

I'm driving in to Louisville the day of the show, any suggestions to about what time I should get there to get in line? I wanna see the show and am making about a 3 hour drive. I was thinking 5ish. Any help is appreciated!
i kinda think right now is a pretty good time to just sit down and sing people some mother-fuckin songs

aMD

so if they expect us to hold a box supper in our laps will there be seats?  we get a box supper?  this is going to be awesome!

jeffro, you only have to beat half the crowd so I bet that 5:00 will be fine, especially if you're making the drive that day.  I'm getting there damn early.  I won't tell you when because I don't want anyone to beat me down there. damn, this is going to be awsome! btw, jeffro, check yo pms.
