I agree, it is an amibiguous site.  I believe that it is a new ownership group so that may explain the website woes.  I did do a quick search for lodging in Newport and hotel rooms are pretty expensive.  Never been there so I'm not sure if the prices are related to the festival weekend or there is that much of a demand.

the site last year was really nice and up to date....I think its under new management so this might just be temporary to get the lineup out....I've been a bunch of times...you can buy single days tix...I think last year they were around $50

oh hotels are ridiculous that weekend....you can find a few a little farther away...last year I think it was best western or sheraton...they have shuttles and boats that take you to the fest.
